- What would happen if you put a couple of physicists in a room with a rope, a box and a black hole? They might come up with a plan to power the Earth for centuries. Black holes aren't something you come across every day. To make a black hole of your own, you'd have to squeeze a star ten times bigger than our Sun into a sphere the diameter of New York City.

there would be no galaxies and therefore no earth or life. we have learned that galaxies and supermasive black holes have a joint partnership so without one the other wouldn't form properly. theres this documentary on netflix that explains it called nova: black hole apocalypse made by pbs. its really good and worth the watch!

Some years ago....
When I first read about the functioning of a D.C. motor and generator in my physics class, I started making some theortical design of some kind of machinery via which we can get infinite energy.
But unfortunately my knowledge at that standard was less, so it wont work.
But after that, I was determined to make some kind of machine or anything that can provide us infinite energy.
And even today as my knowledge in physics increases ... I try think about it !!!!!!!
I hope I will be able to help humanity with some or other get of great invention😊

So let's say we have a handy black hole and we manage to trap and store all of its energy- What would we do with it? We'd boil water, make steam, and convert it to electricity. All of the leftover energy would be wasted just as it is with nuclear fission. Everyone is obsessed with finding new sources of energy, but no one is coming up with new ways to use more energy. We don't have the tech to use energy in any way other than just converting it to electricity. Electricity won't power a spacecraft or make cars fly. It's just not capable of such feats. Most homes in America are equipped with 120 VAC outlets and most appliances run on DC power (and not very much of it). Most cars run on gasoline because it's more efficient than batteries. It's more efficient to create electricity with an alternator than it is to store it in batteries like the Tesla.
Until we come up with a way to use power, we would be wasting our time with a black hole.
Power the earth for a few centuries huh? Not a few billion years? Lmao
What if we used the energy of lighting, to begin with?? That seems pretty plausible even with current technology!
Build a really tall lightning rod, leading into a sufficiently large water reservoir, in places where thunder storms are frequent... Lightning hits, all that electricity boils up the water, heat can then be released over time, and turned back into electricity we could use! Right?
Every lightning bolt contains mind-boggling amount of electricity, why aren't we using it?
Doesn't seem much harder to arrange than building a Hoover Dam! Or harnessing solar power
