My grandma passed 4 years ago around this time and it doesn't seem like our family has been the same. She was the glue that held us all together and I miss her so much I know it hurts and with time the slowly fades, but when the lady who raised you like you were own son leaves it is hard to lose that pain. I'm sorry. Take it from someone who's been through so much loss. Family is something that can never be replaced by just anyone. It's a place where you hold the memories of the people in your life in your heart, the people you love and and the people you've lost. But know that they will always be there. Someone I've lost... I cared about really deeply. That pain will never go away, but you can live with it. Sometimes you can even feel as if they are right next to you, watching over you. Just know to spend as much time as you can with the people you have while you still can.

I recently lost my great grandma to dementia. She was a strong woman and fought for 30 years. Everyone was always so nice to her in the nursing home and she was doing well but then she god transferred to the hospital and was put on life support. We lost her on January 25 while we were holding her hand. May God bless all of you grieving and all of those who have passed. Rest In Peace Rosalia Ferro
My grandma passed on the 8th February 2024, it’s been a whole month since her passing, and her sister also passed more than 7 hours later after her. I miss her daily. I hope her and her sister are in Heaven watching down🕊

My dog Shadow passed away today. He was the nicest dog that I've ever met. Everyday when I was bullied at school, he was there. He never gave up on me. And he was just big, furry ball of love. But then, he started throwing up. Every time he moved. We took him to the vet and they said he had an inflamed liver. It was so big that it pushed on his lungs and he had trouble breathing. And also pushed on his stomach so he kept throwing up. Today we brought him to the vet and we had to put him down. He stopped breathing as I cried and hugged him. It was the right thing to do, but it still hurts. He will be crossing the rainbow bridge without a doubt. I love you Shadow. So Much.
I know how it feels I lost my sweet buddy boy he was the sweetest dog ever and it’s almost been a here without him. Just know they are playing and happy again but they will see us again at rainbow bridge. Sorry for your loss

(it’s been two years since I wrote this and now (in 2021) I wanted to do a bit of a update) On March nineteenth this year it will be eight years since her death. I still miss her every single day but I know that she’s in a good place. It’s still kills me every day that I didn’t get to know her better, or appreciate her more, or tell her that I loved her more than anything in the entire world. im crying now cuz I remember listening to this song last year when my great grandma passed away from a heart attack. Not long after her funeral, her husband, my great grandpa passed away from the same thing she did. I loved them so much. Their names were Lillian and Raymond (Lil and Ray for short) Lil always gave us cookies every time we visited her and Ray always made us laugh. With Lil, my mum had gone to the hospital to say goodbye, later receiving a phone call from my Auntie and her words were "Shes gone........" and then my mum broke down in tears. It was the same with Ray except she didn't get to say goodbye as he was in critical condition and no one could see him so no one got to say goodbye............ To this day I am still devastated for our loss.......... May you rest in peace Lil and Ray
i deciated to my grammie who died a month and a half after my sixteenth birthday over a year ago. i'm turning eighteen in september and i wish she was still here to see it. I thought she was going to make it until i was in my 30's, but cancer didn't let her live longer than that. I miss you so much, grammie. :,(
Same here brings me memories of me seeing my dog howling from old age seeing him bad made me sad cause he was fluffy like a wolf the vet had to put him down and he was a good boy he was big but he was like a puppy cause I always played with him so it's really hard not to cry and my cat I had since I was little died she was hit in front of me I was about to have a heart attack when I saw that but I couldn't do anything cause she didn't even last a minute and hearing her making sounds made me cry she tried to get up but then died now that made me really sad cause it was my first pet it was a tuxedo cat I had her since she was kitten

I lost my 8 year old nephew almost 20 years ago. I sat with him for hours in the hospital until the coroner took him so that someone would be with him. I am 46 now and was 26 then. I wanted to be the strong one for the rest of the family so I held everything together and tried not to break down when everyone else did. Still sitting here 20 years later as I do all the time by myself balling when nobody is around. I love this song and when I am alone I sing it to him. I miss my little Cookie Monster.

Lost my dad roughly two years ago to cancer. After first few months I really hated it when every single thing kept reminding me of him, for I was tired of crying everyday. There was a time when I hated my dad for having given me such heartache to leave to a better place. I wanted to live, feel happy and move on too. After struggling for almost a year and half, I thought I had finally started to move on. But now I am too worried I would forget. It's like no one would and could love me the way he did and make me feel special. I want to remember every single thing, every single moment of that special care and love he showed to me. Either way it hurts. I honestly really don't know what I want now.

Every time I listen to this song, I think about my now graduated friends that left me behind after 3 years of me knowing them. Here's the story: It all started when me and the friend I now have on discord met each other when I was a freshman in highschool, in the first year, me, him and another friend of his played Yu-Gi-Oh Nexus together. After that year, we had to same class again, but this time, he and more of his friends played SSBU (Super Smash Bros Ultimate for those who don't know) together, I was intrigued by their skill and I joined them, from what I distinctively remember, a few weeks later. That's when the friend I have on discord become my SSBU tag team partner, I played Simon, he played Richtor, I played Lucina, he played Marth, HECK, we've done double Ganondorf and so much more. That is when I truly felt a connection between us. In my junior and his senior year, which was last year, we still played SSBU, and I never thought I would build a new connection between me, him and his friends. When they had to leave 2 weeks before graduation during our yearly senior walkout, I was crying tears of emotion, knowing they were gonna be gone when they graduated 2 weeks from that day. 2 weeks later, I went to their graduation to help National Honors Society with passing out programs, not only that, I wanted to support my friends all the way through the program, best of all, they DID NOT know I was there. At the end, I never had a final encounter with those friends to say a final farewell..... but there was something coming from a friend I had never had before...... The friend on discord sent me this exact message, "Thank you for everything! You're an amazing friend!" That is where I CRIED tears of emotion, because I have never had a friend that was THAT supportive to me, EVER. That was the last I have heard from him or the others......That is how those 3 years (2020-2023) were some of the best years of my highschool life.😭 I still think about them to this day 🥺 UPDATE AFTER SUMMER 2023: I am doing well....but I am still depressed they are gone.....But they will always be in my heart.....forever 😭

My dog Shadow passed away today. He was the nicest dog that I've ever met. Everyday when I was bullied at school, he was there. He never gave up on me. And he was just big, furry ball of love. But then, he started throwing up. Every time he moved. We took him to the vet and they said he had an inflamed liver. It was so big that it pushed on his lungs and he had trouble breathing. And also pushed on his stomach so he kept throwing up. Today we brought him to the vet and we had to put him down. He stopped breathing as I cried and hugged him. It was the right thing to do, but it still hurts. He will be crossing the rainbow bridge without a doubt.

im crying now cuz I remember listening to this song last year when my great grandma passed away from a heart attack. Not long after her funeral, her husband, my great grandpa passed away from the same thing she did. I loved them so much. Their names were Lillian and Raymond (Lil and Ray for short) Lil always gave us cookies every time we visited her and Ray always made us laugh. With Lil, my mum had gone to the hospital to say goodbye, later receiving a phone call from my Auntie and her words were "Shes gone........" and then my mum broke down in tears. It was the same with Ray except she didn't get to say goodbye as he was in critical condition and no one could see him so no one got to say goodbye............ To this day I am still devastated for our loss.......... May you rest in peace Lil and Ray

I lost my 8 year old nephew almost 20 years ago. I sat with him for hours in the hospital until the coroner took him so that someone would be with him. I am 46 now and was 26 then. I wanted to be the strong one for the rest of the family so I held everything together and tried not to break down when everyone else did. Still sitting here 20 years later as I do all the time by myself balling when nobody is around. I love this song and when I am alone I sing it to him. I miss my little Cookie Monster.

Dang!!! Well good for you for at least expressing it on here. I have always been the string one n the fixer n the family but suppression of feelings is horrible!!! I would say start journaling. Lost my dad roughly two years ago to cancer. After first few months I really hated it when every single thing kept reminding me of him, for I was tired of crying everyday. There was a time when I hated my dad for having given me such heartache to leave to a better place. I wanted to live, feel happy and move on too. After struggling for almost a year and half, I thought I had finally started to move on. But now I am too worried I would forget. It's like no one would and could love me the way he did and make me feel special. I want to remember every single thing, every single moment of that special care and love he showed to me. Either way it hurts. I honestly really don't know what I want now.

Every time I listen to this song, I think about my now graduated friends that left me behind after 3 years of me knowing them.
Here's the story:
It all started when me and the friend I now have on discord met each other when I was a freshman in highschool, in the first year, me, him and another friend of his played Yu-Gi-Oh Nexus together. After that year, we had to same class again, but this time, he and more of his friends played SSBU (Super Smash Bros Ultimate for those who don't know) together, I was intrigued by their skill and I joined them, from what I distinctively remember, a few weeks later. That's when the friend I have on discord become my SSBU tag team partner, I played Simon, he played Richtor, I played Lucina, he played Marth, HECK, we've done double Ganondorf and so much more. That is when I truly felt a connection between us. In my junior and his senior year, which was last year, we still played SSBU, and I never thought I would build a new connection between me, him and his friends. When they had to leave 2 weeks before graduation during our yearly senior walkout, I was crying tears of emotion, knowing they were gonna be gone when they graduated 2 weeks from that day. 2 weeks later, I went to their graduation to help National Honors Society with passing out programs, not only that, I wanted to support my friends all the way through the program, best of all, they DID NOT know I was there. At the end, I never had a final encounter with those friends to say a final farewell..... but there was something coming from a friend I had never had before...... The friend on discord sent me this exact message, "Thank you for everything! You're an amazing friend!" That is where I CRIED tears of emotion, because I have never had a friend that was THAT supportive to me, EVER. That was the last I have heard from him or the others......That is how those 3 years (2020-2023) were some of the best years of my highschool life.😭

Cry every time When I hear it ever since my grandpa died he was so old he died at 92 I miss him so much I was at his funeral when I saw him die his last words was be a good girl for your mom he died at that moment I was so heartbroken and I was too but I know better and I knew right at that moment he was sick in the hospital my mom saw him fall on the floor he was so sick he just got old and passed out we rushed to the hospital and he died I was so lost without him😪 I couldn’t sleep without him I couldn’t drink without him I couldn’t eat without him my body was just lost😭 when I go to school I think about him. For show and tell I cry in front of everyone but now I’m 13He is never forgotten he’s always remembered in my heart😌😔😞😞❤️
