Apple claims that the glass on their New iPhone 8 is the Most durable glass ever on a smartphon. Thats a pretty bold claim! Since apple is one of the largest smartphone manufactures on earth Its important that their phones can handle abuse.
This iphone 8 droptest, even with a small sample size, will give a general idea of what to expect if you were to ever drop your iphone on the ground. Will the iphone 8 survive a normal every day drop situation? Is the glass on the iPhone 8 more durable than on another type of smartphone? Like samsung?
One thing to take into consideration is that if you were to ever crack the glass on your samsung smartphone... the repair is very simple, and would only cost about 15 or 20 dollarsl for the replacement glass panel. With the iphone... the glass panel does not come off. The glue is permanent. So the repair process will be MUCH more difficult.

Interesting to see that the case prevents the phone from flipping, after it hits the ground. With the naked phone, the impact energy travels right back where it came from, causing it to rotate, and with the case, it's nicely distributed in the body.

Truly excellent, real life, drop test. Thank you. As I am now getting my very first smart phone. An Apple iPhone 8, 64 GB. And that Anker case looks like just the ticket. And very affordable. Bounces nicely. And I shatter to think of not having one. Or William Shatner. Some kind of Shat. And without the phone turning into a piece of Shat.
No reviewer of the iPhone 8 has really gone over all of its features. No mention of hotspot capabilities. Available external add-ons. High quality stereo audio capture devices. Maybe secondary external video camera capabilities. What the Bluetooth 5 offers over Bluetooth 2. Likely 5 GHz compared to 2 GHz? But no mention was made of that and any of the other reviews. Kind of clueless reviews. I'm an engineer. No reviewer is an engineer. Nor a real photographer, videographer, cinematographer.
No mention of its use in flying battery-operated drones. FM radio reception capabilities. Aircraft radio reception capabilities. Whether radio. And the 2 available current Wi-Fi systems. Really inadequate reviews by amateurs. But somewhat helpful, nevertheless. For someone who has not been a cellular smart phone users now for, 37+ years. Just a cell phone user. One of the very first in the USA and the world. Starting in 1983. That included a costly 300 Bd, computer modem. Which I would plug my standard Western Electric office phone into in my car. With a real Bell telephone that would ring. It was awesome! So much more cool to hear on one of the world's first analog cellular phones. 1983. The 50-year-old technology mixed with the cutting edge.

I have this case, and its badass! I added a spider ring phone holder though since i dont even use the wireless charging feature. I dropped it from the roof of my house during the satellite repair and my iPhone was just fine. On the driveway.

So, I have a Samsung (which sucks for me, but may work for others) but I dropped it on concrete while I was sitting down and it shattered and now it glitches, heats up and I feel like it is going to blow up any minute which is scary. It was when I first got it though which was last year. I currently have a job that I started a couple weeks ago for Christmas, but after Christmas I'm supposed to be going to some place to get a new phone. And I was thinking about converting to an iphone 8 plus soon which is exciting for myself. But thanks to this, I now want to get it more with a reasonable case. Thanks♡

I like how you restrained the damaged phone from anymore unnecessary slaughter and destruction once it was seen that the back had already cracked. So many drop test people just keep dropping and destroying the phone until it's beyond repair, which isn't very original or amusing to see since then they practically want to drop it from space(exaggeration), which I'm sure no one does and expects the phone to survive. I learned the hard way... it was January 2018... just a few weeks after getting the iPhone 8 for Christmas... idk what's gotten into me but I decided to watch TH-cam without my case so i took it off... next thing you know it slipped from my hands and fell to the floor... the back glass looked like the phone its been shot no joke... its so shattered its scary... the display glass and the display itself are in perfect condition tho... and i still have it laying around in my room...
