I appreciate your attitude. You have chosen a lifestyle that has greater up's and lower downs. Most things in life can be measured in risk vs. reward. You now have greater risks for greater rewards. Your boat is for more beautiful than mine, I am constantly fixing things on a 45 year old sailboat. Enjoy your boat, enjoy your youth, enjoy your lifestyle!
We appreciate your message, thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😊 It is definitely like you say .. everything is more extreme - the highs and lows, the experiences, meeting new people & our relationship .. 😉 We hope you enjoy the time working on your boat! Somehow there is always something to do and improve. 😉 Feels like that is part of the journey too.
It’s totally fair if you find docking and anchoring challenging. Every time you do it, which isn’t often to begin with, it feels loaded with risk. It gets much easier (and less stressful) quickly - the ‘learning curve’ is steep to start with. Thank-you for the films, they’re great. (UK sailing instructor).
Thanks for your kind and supportive words! It does get a little easier but practice is everything and we are trying to take possibilities when we feel good about it 😊 Best regards from Tenerife!
Thank you 😊 So it certainly depends on your requirements. For mini dives or repairs, to check the anchor and things like that, it's perfectly and really good from our point of view. Independence without a compressor also works very well - but it takes time fill it by hand. So we like it a lot and for what we wanted it is perfect - definitely not comparable to a full dive kit though.
New subscriber here, thank you for sharing your exploration of the Canary Islands. I know little about the Islands and its history. Interesting geography with the stark rocky formations devoid of foliage. You two seem comfortable living on liquid, which can be a challenge as you sail to new destinations. Great video and hello from Santa Cruz California.
Hello back to Santa Cruz (California) which is also an amazing place! 👋🏼 We arrived here with little knowledge but are enjoying what we have experienced so far .. it’s definitely not the easiest sailing area, as you said the mountains fall steep into the ocean making it harder to anchor, but a good place to learn some skills! 😉 Thanks for following our journey!!
The modern boats like yours turn around it's keel like a dime in a penny if you want and super easy to dock. Since kid I've been on full keel boats and the current one is +40 feet 14tons and no bow thruster. Now that's kind of an elephant in porslaine shop. Docking yours is like being on a green ski slope whilst full keel is black level challange. I like your videos!
Oh wow, that is definitively something different .. for us it is still challenging when the wind is a little stronger. But we are practicing 😉 Thanks for following our journey!
@@patandfrankie i grew up in northern Finland by the sea, so it was half a year ice skating and skiing and the rest was boating and year around boat building

This is the reason we live on boats... Magic places like that and beautiful weather...
That’s so true 😊

Nice test sailing trip. As it turns out, you're good at sailing, but you still need to practice fishing.👍😜
Thanks - that’s so true! We haven't had so much luck on the Atlantic so far. We are working on this so that the crew can also be strengthened.
Happy moments😊
Being out on the water makes us the happiest 😃
Pat = always optimizing :) we wanna see him chillin )
He is 🛠️😁 it’s chilling for him .. 😉
Again a nice video.
How do you like the Smaco diving gear? Is it worth it?
Thank you 😊

Sounds great 😊
You will improve the docking with every time.
Very serene anchorage!
