Just watching this in total amazement at the strength of Mogga. A pure legend and so inspirational for me as I recover from a stroke that happened 4 months ago at the age of 57. Well done Bernie and Mogga for the interview. I've got everything crossed that you get the all clear again 🤞
Proper family man. Love Tony mowbray. My role model to be honest about how to go about life the right way and how to live a happy life. What a man mogga ❤️
My thoughts are with mogga and his family at this time let's hope he gets the best news in the next few days he's a Legend and always will be God bless you stay safe and well
Searching for this vid, I typed in 'Bernie Slaven Mowbray' and up popped the Boro 2-1 Villa game with THAT header. Watched it on repeat about 10 times. Absolute legend and I first started going at 9 years old in '86 and that period was the best Boro team by a country mile and in large part because of Mowbray's epic leading by example. Top, top man.
I’m a Villa fan but I’ve always had time for Tony Mowbray from his time at Ipswich and later Boro .and when he lost his first wife as a relatively young man. . I’m pleased that he’s recovered from his poor health and that Albion have decided to re employ him as manager again . I look forward to see him as a rare English football manager in the Prem and the potential derby matches between Villa and Albion .
@@christopherdavies3079 I would like to see mogga coach in Premier league he's a Boro Legend he captained the club after Liquidation and then later managed the club didn't like the way Steve Gibson treated him in mogga Boro fans would trust him
Amazing interview with Slaven. Had me in tears when he recounts his cancer struggles. He is so inspiring. Fingers crossed his recovery continues and he is back in the dugout somewhere soon.
Brilliant interview and great to see Mogga is recovering well. His knowledge of all things football is amazing. I would certainly be happy if he came back to manage the Boro, with funding provided this time, though! I’d love to see him win promotion to the Premiership with WBA.
Tony must be one of the most respected bloke's in the game best of luck for the future I'm sure everyone wishes you the same great insight in to the game brilliant stuff
Great interview/podcast from two legends and u can see his passion for the game. Good to see u looking well and back on the mend Mogga would love to see him back at the mighty boro sometime if managing himself or helping carrick either way but whoever he goes to whichever club they will have got a great manager/coach in mogga #UTB 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
Great interview. Thought inspiring and Insightful in so many ways. That goal against Norwich - unbelievable to experience that atmosphere. Best wishes for the future. Thanks for the great memories both of you.
Unreal this, proper hero to me and many others my age. That team after liquidation in my teenage years gives people so many memories. Seeing Mogga run out the tunnel and kick the ball in the air, the Holgate throwing all the bits of ripped newspaper in the air, proper good days, UTB
A great down to earth, experienced and effective football man (manager). I was sorry to see him leave my club, Sunderland. It's really nice to see him back in football as manager of West Brom.
What a top bloke. Despite only managing Blues for 8 games, he's probably the most likable manager we've ever had. Shame his time here was cut short but health comes first. All the best Mogga. Thanks for your time here. KRO!
If Michael Carrick was to leave at the end of the season, Id be really happy if Mogga was to return to Boro for 2025/2026 season. He didnt get a fair crack at it last time having to sort out Strachan's mess
Now if Sir Steve Gibson listened to this interview. He must think what a huge upgrade he could make by bringing in Tony Mowbray as our new Sporting Diector. Kỉeon Scott has proved his limitations, signing so many poor players, so many duffs. So much waisted money. The successful signings he made were almost exclusively down to Danksy our former first team coach. Listen to what Tony has said , Brilliant. Michael Carrick is struggling at the moment. Having Tony as an êxperianced head to help Carrick would be exactly what Carrick needs. The new Boro modle is to sell and upgrade Tony would be a huge upgrade. One the fans would love and the football club needs. Time to act Sir Steve
As a Sunderland fan, I love mogga. I completely agree with him and think he was unfairly treated. He did not say that but that’s my opinion. I was gutted when he left and I agree and stand by his reasoning and the decisions he made. They absolutely were correct. Luis hemir, Jewison bennette, and nazary ruysn, were not ready. What they should have done is back him to bring another striker in financially. I love him ❤️🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
But the sporting director obviously wants the team to win, so he would do everything in his power to get the best players he could, it’s about working together
Tony Mowbray did a good job at the Baggies, but then he disided to go to Celtic, but he's still a decent bloke, and I wish him all the best for the future.

Great man. I’ve read his book Bernie - you should read it, it shows where his strength comes from.
