This is a good tip. I planted mine 10 days ago without using this method and I haven't seen any movement yet. I will for sure try this next time, looks to get to seedling stage in less than half the time.

We dont use that method and yet our pumpkins grow. Maybe the seeds was too old. Also it depends on the type if pumpkin.
