High safety for buses - A contribution of the modern Periodical Technical Inspection

The film shows a possible inspection process of a modern PTI with and without support by the PTI-Adapter 21. It intensively shows the specifics, which must be considered for the PTI of buses.
During the last years, the usage of electronics has increased not only in heavy goods vehicles and their trailers but also in buses. Many functions already known from heavy goods vehicles are also used in buses, e.g electronic braking system, anti-lock brake, traction control, electronic stability control, adaptive cruise control / automatic emergency brake. Furthermore, there are also bus-specific safety systems, such as bus stop brake / starting prevention device, kneeling and sliding joint stabilization / buckling prevention.
