Great Video .. Im thinking of getting 30m or 50m Can you do backing tracks and play at the same time ?? I want to put my Line6 POD go into it will that work with it ? Thanks if you can Help
Saw the WV hat, what general area you in? I can’t decide between the 50m or the 30m. I’m singing gospel music in church with backing tracks, normal solo, but occasionally a trio with my psrents
I played the Bose for 1 gig and brought it back. Now I have the ev 39 m. Bose sounded great but had connection problems in the tower. It would not last.
Sounds like you made a good decision. Just purchased the Guitar Center (Harbinger) MLS1000 for about half the cost of the 30M but the columns are plastic. I might exchange for the 30M.
Saw you have a drum kit in your setup. Curious if you’ve mic’d up a kick here to see that would respond? Or rather just how the 30m keeps up with live drums in the space
I was all ready to splurge on a Bose L1 Pro 16 with Tonematch T8S mixer. I listened to it and it sounded awesome. However that cheap arse plasticy spacer and wobbly speaker column really put me off big time, not to mention the fact that you also have to spend a lot more money on a Tonematch mixer to get more comprehensive eq. dynamics and effects that are available as standard built in to the 8 input mixer in the Evolve 30M and Evolve 50M. I spent just a bit more money than buying the Bose system, I got a pair of Evolve 30Ms in white and I couldn't be happier. The EV app is fantastic and I can run in stereo with 2 units. Their build quality is IMHO superior to the Bose.
Are you still happy with your purchase? I’m shopping and did demo the 30m and Bose L1 Pro 16 today. Have the same thoughts and concerns as you. Prefer the 30m mixer, solid assembly, and cost obviously. Even though the 30m sounded grrwt just really couldn’t get past how awesome the Pro 16 sounded, and I like the 180 degree range. Still on the fence. I’m a solo singer/electric guitarist with backing tracks, so at this point one of these is all I need for my gigs.
@@Andy1x just bite the bullet and get the Evolve 30M! The L1 Pro 16 is regarded as a more upmarket unit and it it's more expensive, but the Evolve 30M is more compact and lightweight, looks better (IMHO), has a better build quality and offers much more for the cheaper price with the fabulous built in mixer as standard with double the inputs, much more comprehensive eq and fx under the control of an excellent app. The Bose does have that wider 180 degree dispersion but the 129 degree dispersion offered by the Evolve 30M courtesy of those those excellent speaker waveguides is plenty for the vast majority of applications where you're using just a single unit. I'm certainly not anti Bose and loved the sound, but the crappy build quality and lack of mixer features for the considerably higher price really put me off.
@@Andy1x I also considered getting a JBL PRX ONE but I heard too many hit and miss things about its app and didn't want the extra weight. A single Evolve 30M is very compact and lightweight for the great sound it belts out and a pair of them can still fit very comfortably into the back of any small car giving you more flexibility and the ability to also run in stereo.
I owned the 30M build quality so much better than the Bose L1Pro But I the 30M was muddy by comparison and no amount of eq could correct it’s short comings. Sent it back.
@@ekredel I’m a solo acoustic guy. My experience is that the Bose sounds better and has 180-degree dispersion but it only has one vocal and one guitar input. The 30m has 120-degree dispersion, more inputs, and a much better app to control it.
@@randygodwin I might gave to give Bose a second chance then. It seemed way too bass heavy when I tried ti, more suitable for DJ-ing then for an acoustic + vocal.
The app is a pain. Plan on having a dedicated device for the app if you're going to use this in a live setting. When you change over to another app, or turn off your phone, it basically logs you out of the app. In other words, if you want to adjust settings on the fly, then plan on leaving your phone on permanently, or else have a separate device. Sounds good though!
The Bose sounds great but the app is horrible. I have a 50m and I love it. I checked out every line array that Sweetwater had and settled on the Ev50 because I do a few outdoor gigs in the summer that require more coverage.
The rodent you spoke about probably worked at fedex. Fedex and ups both are subpar delivery companies. If seen them throw people packages on to porches. Disgraceful.
Dude ... I love the name / Play on Solo Acoustic! I hope it ends up sounding as neat as it looks ;)
Great review! Thank you!!

Thanks for this- waiting to pick mine up this week!

So, how are you liking it so far?
Thank you for the video. Are you still liking this purchase? Any issues? 🙏
Can’t wait to see you performing at venues! Definitely post some of it!
Looking good 👌
Waiting for EV30 vs Bose!

@@madness8556 Well said. You hit all the important points. So many pros to the 30m. Stay tuned. 👍

Are you still using this PA? What are your thoughts 2 years later?
I actually sold it a few months ago, because I moved and didn't have room for it. If I buy another PA in the future it will be this one.

Why no one doing a reverb and delay test
No body test the reverb for sound quality

Those instruments could be playing music occasionally
They get played at least a couple times a week.
