When the argument of money buying happiness comes up, I have my way of thinking and describing on how it does or doesn't. I am between the two. Money alone doesn't bring emotional/ sentimental happiness, yet it wields the ability to provide opportunity. This opportunity brought forth by money can bring reasonable happiness to someones life. For example, someone who has the money to go places that allow for the meeting of people and even just a good time at different events, will see more happiness than that of whom cannot afford to rather indulge on these opportunities.

I agree with this. When teachers are fun, energetic and not boring we learn so much better. This is a fact. My teachers nowadays sit around with attitudes waiting for a pay check while majority of the class has low grades.

Go to any poor community and give them money and they'll buy happiness with it. Because the only thing that is making them unhappy is the lack of money. Other money problems they are satisfied with their lives. You will find these communities all over the world

@TrippyBean Watch the video, Once your mother has all that do you think that alone will make her happy? If everything else went wrong would your mother be happy with her stable income and house and not worry about anything else like friends,family & things that make her happy? A house is a house it will not and can not be the sole purpose of your happiness. The happiness is temporary once having a house and stable income sets in and its normal the temporary happiness will be gone.

Money may not buy you happiness, but it certainly would for me. If I had a plentiful amount of money, I could stop worrying about most of the things I currently worry about. I literally worry about my parents' money problems because I'm afraid that one day they won't be able to support me...
The only thing money cannot help you with is people. You can buy hookers or whatever the hell, but you can't buy a true girlfriend. You can pay people to hang around you, but they're not really your friends. Oh, and here's the kicker, I've already done this. I don't need money for any of this--I just need it to stop worrying about my financial statement.
can you buy real friends ? can money cure cancer ? can you get rid of depression ? can you buy true love ? Can you buy talent ? can you buy the truth ? does money make you a good person ? can you buy loyalty?... i can go on all day. Money is REALLY important and is a factor of hapiness but there is much more than just money
I think that too but that doesn't mean you wouldn't have different problems that comes with keeping all that money. Like Daequan said, people would start pretending to be your friend and your old friends could turn on you, your long lost relative or girlfriend could suddenly turnup and act entitled to some of the money. You also have to constantly worry about keeping your money safe, use it with responsibility and care which could be hard considering you could spend it on anything you want. If you became rich through business, you have all your assets which will be the source of your wealth and it might be hard to keep yourself constantly up to date to retain that wealth. Completely different problems, it depends on which you'd prefer to have to be content with your life.

@@agl4044 we're talking about happiness. Not everything else you mentioned... If looking in the sky makes you happy then you're happy. If having a fat paycheck and bank that can't hold your money even digitally makes you happy. Then you're happy. I think people misconstrued the actual meaning of this phrase. You can't buy genuine emotions or character or morality is what I believe whoever said this saying is trying to explain and it's just been mislead for multiple years.
