The double barrel is a very weird gun, it depends strictly on play style. I believe that you should only use it if you like getting up close personal/being aggressive.
You could say the same with the pump but you have to have good accuracy to use it that way, I believe the pump is best at a close-mid range distance.
In terms of actual gun, the pump takes it. It is more versatile and can be shot farther, and the reload is easier than the double barrel which needs to be reloaded all the way before being shot again, while the pump has a single shell reload on it like the heavy and tac shotguns, but in the end it all depends on preference and play style.
EDIT: I think daequan's statement is very true. The Double Barrel got nerfed so bad its completely RNG based until you are close enough to get a guaranteed 100 damage body shot, they need to be re-balanced.

Can we just enjoy one good thing and not instantly forget about it and look at the bad stuff. I personally never had that much problems with turrets. I mostly try to shoot away the part where it's platform is standing on. Heavy sniper or deagel comes handy therem

Here's how to balance shotguns
Pump keep where it is now
Tac keep where it is now
Double barrel change body damage back to like 145 or 150 and do 190 to head (so it's not broken and you cant just bap bap 1 tap 2 people back to back
And heavy keep body the same but up the headshot up to like 210 to 220

Lol, everyone compares shotguns based on dmg and is like it's rarer therefore it should do more damage. They forget to take into account fire rate and ammo capacity.
Hell no heavies should not 1 shot. Heavy is way more accurate than any other shotgun. Most of the times when you hit someone to the head with a heavy it does its maximum damage. Just imagine 1 shotting people easily but also getting 1 shotted easily. Thats bad. Heavies and pumps are in a good spot.
Omg the Pump is evolving, Either using Shiny stone which will turn it into The New Shotgun or using the Moon Stone into a DoubleBarrel!
