Would be significantly more dunks, and immensely more layups for sure. I think they use the percentage of the height different. 6'0 to 6'6, 10%, so lower the rim for 10%. More realistically should includ the vertical difference as well, about 30% to 40%, so realistically it would need to lower half to have a similar effect.

We’ve all played on adjustable rims. The “if we move it down 6 inches it would take forever to adjust to the height”, is a weak argument. If you have good technique and understand basic aim and arc trajectory in any given shot whether it’s a free throw, 3pointer, or a hook shot in the paint, it won’t take long to adjust. I understand other points WNBA players are making regarding rim height but I honestly believe the “adjusting to the height will take forever” is garbage. Bring the rim down to 9feet and have two WNBA teams play an exhibition game. Just an experiment. No practices on the new height, just play as you would normally. That game would be packed and if televised, would have a lot of attention. If it turns out to be a boring game, then go back to 10 feet. You don’t know till you try it. It’s not going to happen anytime soon because let’s face it, this topic has more to do with pride and ego. It has nothing to do with embracing change or making a game more entertaining. The rim height is not to make a change for the worse but potentially for the better. We may never know in our lifetime how exciting women’s basketball could be because of certain sensitive and defensive attitudes.✌🏽

My Dad stuck a rim on the side of our house when I was a child and unfortunately set it at 11ft rather than 10ft, but I was so grateful and he was so scary that I didn't dare complain, so I learned to shoot and play on an 11ft basket. When I then started to play real games using a 10ft rim I adjusted immediately, and I actually found it easier than other children because I'd been effectively 'weight training' at a higher height than them.

More realistically should includ the vertical difference as well, about 30% to 40%, so realistically it would need to lower half to have a similar effect.

We’ve all played on adjustable rims. The “if we move it down 6 inches it would take forever to adjust to the height”, is a weak argument. If you have good technique and understand basic aim and arc trajectory in any given shot whether it’s a free throw, 3pointer, or a hook shot in the paint, it won’t take long to adjust. I understand other points WNBA players are making regarding rim height but I honestly believe the “adjusting to the height will take forever” is garbage. Bring the rim down to 9feet and have two WNBA teams play an exhibition game. Just an experiment. No practices on the new height, just play as you would normally. That game would be packed and if televised, would have a lot of attention. If it turns out to be a boring game, then go back to 10 feet. You don’t know till you try it.
It’s not going to happen anytime soon because let’s face it, this topic has more to do with pride and ego. It has nothing to do with embracing change or making a game more entertaining. The rim height is not to make a change for the worse but potentially for the better. We may never know in our lifetime how exciting women’s basketball could be because of certain sensitive and defensive attitudes.✌🏽

You're absolutely right, and her argument doesn't stand up to scrutiny. My Dad stuck a rim on the side of our house when I was a child and unfortunately set it at 11ft rather than 10ft, but I was so grateful and he was so scary that I didn't dare complain, so I learned to shoot and play on an 11ft basket. When I then started to play real games using a 10ft rim I adjusted immediately, and I actually found it easier than other children because I'd been effectively 'weight training' at a higher height than them.
