Well, I soak my stuff in hot boiling water repeatedly until the water clear.. moreover, if you use sufficient amount of soda ash after dying and leave it for over 24hrs, the colours will be vibrant even after repeated washing..

You also have to apply diluted soda ash after dying even after sprinkling the powder soda ash...
