This thing appears to be a parasite of some sort. Similar to the Xenomorph taking shape of the hosts body from its DNA. It came out of Fluttershy and now resembles a Pegasus Filly. Because Fluttershy is a Pegasus this thing took her shape. In a sense Fluttershy just gave birth to a baby from her mouth.

Now, Knackerman has stated the Candy Mare was inspired by and originates from the aspects of Eastern beliefs of spirits. You know, onryo? There really is no way to overcome her, and technically, she is not alive at all in a sense. She simply manifests, exists as lingering evil. I had believed she could be redeemed by being given compassion and aid, but that idea was squashed by the very creator himself.
This was amazing. It’s like HP Lovecraft himself decided to write a MLP fanfic. No doubt about it that creature was at least a great old one or maybe even an outer god. Also Fluttershy screaming an that roar at the end startled me

I think I get it now! the creature got inside another bird fisrt and then it begin to change its physical appearance like a bird and then it got in to fluttershy's throat that's why when fluttershy throws up the bird it turns in to a Pegasus filly. the creature must an accident demonic being that can also make it's host to hunt for it or drive the host crazy, it seems that it can't survive on its own and it might die fast after being reborn , and it made fluttershy to knock apple unconscious so the creature could use apple jack as a new host. that's why apple jack is hearing 2 heart beats, the creature is inside of her now
I'm getting some serious Steven King vibes from this. The ominous heartbeat in the background really added to the suspense as well. When it comes to cosmic horror, the greatest aspect is the fear of the unknown. Even at the end of the tale, we still have many questions. Are the creatures friend or foe? Are they from some distant universe or reality? Were they followed by another darker, twisted entity into Equestria? Quite the spine tingling story. Outstanding job Scribbler!

Now THIS is some great cosmic horror! Perhaps some small amount of inspiration from ‘The Mound’ and ‘The Dunwich Horror’. When the Pegasus was revealed I about jumped out of my skin!

This is a horror that not only stays with you it makes you cry out off fear question the dark scared to look in the dark scared to look at windows because you might see a reflection you don't want to see it even makes you scared to look in a mirror for two much time just in case you're reflection smiles and you don't so WELL BLOODY DONE EXCELLENT WORK WELL DONE 😃👍.

Because of the horrible nightmares I've always had, I used to be afraid of the dark. Well, kinda. It wasn't that wouldn't be able to see any monsters or demons as well, it was that everyone was off guard. Something could sneak past us because we relax in the dark and don't pay as much attention to the small noises

I have those beats at night whenever I break down from stress into a panic attack. It's very uncomfortable to feel your heart beating out of tune with how you think it should be, like, too shallow and too quick.

If you wanted to do this you should of formed a group and brought proper gear, if you had a group than you would not of had the throat situation
