Genuinely shocked to see that your content doesn't get more attention. This is legit so informative and the way you take us through the history and lore of each subject is so immensely helpful to us DMs who doesn't have time to deep-dive into every creature they want to use. I've been listening to these creature episodes every day since I discovered yous and omg my players won't know what hit them with this deep lore
Great video, guys. Love how Brian looks like he's sat in a barber's chair after a fresh cut waiting for the gown to be taken off and shown the back of his head.
Non-natives in Limbo generally ended up there by accident. I remember reading about a halfling village that got sucked in by some crazy circumstances and just stayed there with the halflings concentrating on its physical integrity in shifts.
I love the idea of Limbo being the wild west of Planescape, with settlers building mining outposts to shape chaos and sell materials, or fleeing to escape the long arm of the law
fun episode! my group plays genre-hopping RPG "The Strange" by planescape authors Bruce Cordell and Monte Cook -- and we've got a scenario going on where Star Trek's Khan Noonian Singh has enhanced his augmented human allies by mixing their DNA with slaadi. the PCs stumble into a eerily quiet town where everyone seems dead but have faint life signs only to discover the inhabitants have been infected with slaadi eggs ... and once they start "hatching" it's all the PCs can do to flee the entire town.
What about the time travelling white slaad? Beings of entropy known as black slaad? The Glenmoril!!!!!?! Guys…. I truly feel dungeoncast episodes are best when they are an hour long. Add some bro-banter to fluff it up another 30mins and boom! Something for me to listen to when I’m ignoring the customers at work!
God I wanna have my wizard try and talk with Slaadi. She's often got her head in the clouds or off with the pixies so I feel like she'd have a good shot at it
Funny how you said battletoads looks like tmnt because orginally the game was to be a tmnt game but the company lost the license to use tmnt so they turn them into toads
Homebrew slaad bosses sound cool, but what about slaad npcs? Some hermit who lives out in some random patch of limbo that’s friendly to the players but also still feally confusing to talk to
Yup, double vowels followed by a consonant and a vowel is the reverse rule of the more common use of a vowel consonant vowel... it means soft vowel hard consonant rather than hard vowel hard consonant. The ‘i’ at the end denotes the plural form, like the anglicized “genie” from D’jini and D’jin. Trust me, I’m the one explaining the difference and it’s still confusing... but, your instincts are correct, ha
Something I kind of want to run: Slaad encounters where I convert dice roll tables randomly (a rolled 4 is actually a 13, a rolled 5 is actually a 7, etc). Players will get pumped about rolling an 18 (that misses) and bummed about an 11 (that decapitates it outright). They roll a 6 on their persuasion check and the Slaad tells them the exact location of the treasure, they roll a 20 on their stealth check and the entire batch of Slaad in the room start making loud rooster sounds. Just completely screw with my players.
1 - The more damage the slaad takes, the more it is driven into a lawful state of existence, pain and damage to its body binds it more to rules of lawful existence. This slaad will avoid prolonged combat. 2 - The more damage the slaad takes, the more chaotic their form becomes; this slaad will go berserk in combat, attacking with no regard to damage to achieve a higher understanding of chaos. 3 - The slaad doesn't understand the nature of the beings it is looking at, it will seek to communicate first, but rapidly becomes disinterested and angry in communication with characters asking questions. 4 - The slaad doesn't understand the nature of the beings it is looking at, it will seek to communicate first, and is intrigued by the perceived alienness and randomness of answers. This slaad may seek to travel with the party, this is possibly the worst result. 5 - The slaad wants to breed. 6 - The slaad wants to breed

One of the best monster sets across editions. They don't get enough attention.
A chaos gem you say? It wouldnt happen to be... a emerald?

These are my favorite monsters I have came across in D&D. As a DM they offer so much creative freedom and I love it
I’m just gonna slaadi into the comments again to say thanks for the video 🙂

@@DiMadHatter lol
@@skippy9273 slaad salad: looks chaotic, tastes chaotic
Best served with killer tomatoes, cerebral celery and sweet onions.
The amazing Duane and Brando battletoads was genuinely awesome
Slaadis nuts
Excellent video as always! And shout out to demogorgon and his ixitxachitls homies!
I wonder if Primus creating and sending the Spawning Stone somehow let Chaos in to Mechanus?
Wow Brian, 10 seconds in and I’m already laughing!
Been waiting for you guys to cover them, thank you.
Lemme just leap frog over and leave a comment!
Too bad Slaadi are expensive and burgers and other meats are cheap. I just want a cheap Slaad

Oh shit. He dropped a duane and brando reference. I feel old af.
I love their duck hunt rap as well.
Slaadi's got a melody in my heart!🎵
I like the idea of a small town or mining company, being wiped out and all being impregnated Aliens style.
God I wanna have my wizard try and talk with Slaadi. She's often got her head in the clouds or off with the pixies so I feel like she'd have a good shot at it
Slaadi are my favorite monsters next to mind flayers.
Ssendam is madness backwards. Took me a second to work that out
38:40 because that's how innate casting works, it's the same for playable races like tieflings
Where am I supposed to find the stat blocks for the beholder lol? Pretty sure that it's been mentioned and I've just missed it.
Yessssss slaad!
yay I was hoping you guys would get to these things and Limbo
Great job!
Thanks !!
I’d love to see pictures of things they are talking about.
Slaadi dawdy dah. Here we go picking roses while we may, Choas doesn't care what you think.
Funny how you said battletoads looks like tmnt because orginally the game was to be a tmnt game but the company lost the license to use tmnt so they turn them into toads
As a society of roaming tribes. Everytime they relocate the camp/town they should call it their new pad.
I love slaad like i love inevitables chaos v order is cool as heck
So many kind words :)
Y’all pulled some of the advertisements. Thank you
Can you guys do Malar the lesser deity of evil lycanthropy and hunt?
Homebrew slaad bosses sound cool, but what about slaad npcs? Some hermit who lives out in some random patch of limbo that’s friendly to the players but also still feally confusing to talk to
Ygorl is A PROBLEM!!!!! at the beginning of time, the slaadi lord was the ultimate God of chaos with only the mindflayers defying him.....

6 - The slaad wants to breed
True fact: death is the most popular color in Limbo.
.………it’s slaad.....(S-L-O-D)...
