Thanks a lot for giving your perspective on this:) Sadly, I see the majority of fans simply trashing and criticizing this series, some of them who haven't even watched it. I think they made many right decisions here, and most important of all, they made her as a character likeable and authentic again, without all that whining and whimpering that we got from ROTTR or SOTTR. I really enjoyed the show for what it is/was, and it makes me hopeful for any newly developed games, which I wasn't so much in the past.
Suits at Eidos once approved of that Hollywood daddy's girl story and Lara's been stuck with it ever since, much to original writer Vicky Arnold's disapprovement I hope.
I’ve only recently became a TR fan when the survivor trilogy went on sale a couple years ago on Xbox. I just finished the show and I liked it honestly. I can understand some of the criticisms. The art style was different and I don’t think I’ve ever watched a single anime but it never made me dislike it lol and for all the people saying she looks too butch…I think in the games she’s too scrawny to be kicking so much ass lol. Women can be buff asf too relax. I also understand the people saying that it was too trauma focused but it’s also like how else would you flesh out her character lol she’s been through a lot. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the show and I thought it did enough fan service without becoming blatantly unoriginal. About the only problem I had was how she’s so rude to some people lol like stealing that ladies map and being short to the elderly. I get the point was to make her seem DRIVEN and EAGER to complete the mission but in the trilogy she was always kind and compassionate lol. Just food for thought and I kinda liked seeing that side of her regardless.

Just finished the series today, wasn't perfect, but as a continuation from the past 3 games, this was a nice little adventure and its nice to get more Tomb Raider🤘
I couldn't even get thru the first episode. I'm not a fan of the story and characters of the self-serious survivor trilogy, though so maybe that's why.
Ahh yes, the new DONG RAIDER: Larry's Croft adventures.... ....and here we go again with yet another beloved franchise remade with the DEI touch..🤦♂️🤡🐵
Animation quality comes off as cheap-ish looking and Lara's design itself looks very unflattering. Also heard that they queerwashed Zip who already was established as a straight character. Not a fan to say the least.
No no no no no Get off the internet now buddy because you are clearly suffering from cultural war brain rod if you think that. Her design is pretty much good And I can see some people actually liking it you just don't like it because of your own nostalgicobias
I’m a huge tomb raider fan I hated the most recent movie and I wouldn’t say I loved the survivor trilogy like I loved the legend trilogy but the show was soooo good I don’t understand why everyone is being sooooooo critical
Well that's because we live in a very shallow society. Who cries over those smallest gay person or the fact that Laura Croft has a little bit more of a muscular build then she did in the original games
Mabye because they shat on almost all of the characters from the games, made Laura into a crybaby, and also shoved a needless LGBT plot in for extra woke check boxes that was ALSO not canon.
@@Omegateck16what LGBTQ plot?? I binge watched the show I didn’t see a hint of that anywhere and second this Lara went through a a terrible tragedy and had a rough childhood OF COURSE SHE IS GONNA CRY!!!! It’s not like they throw it in it was very heavily implied and 3!!!! I think all the characters were done very well and even the new characters like Jonah and Zip have great chemistry 4th!!!!!! And most importantly of all your argument that this show was “woke” holds zero weight because this show is not forcing anything woke in the slightest. their are women in this show yes but it never felt like it was preaching to the audience or talking down to men in fact some of the men are actually very capable, intelligent and provide Lara with support. Bottom line is you never saw this and are piggiebacking off what butthurt fans have said instead of seeing the show yourself.
@@Omegateck16 yes and Camilla and Lora implied that they were close friends not lovers and Zip being gay didn’t take away from the story at all so what’s the big deal

Your in the minority then.

Exactly. Same goes with Gaylo. Such a shame.

"queerwashed" y'all are weird and insane.
Ya. Idk why they did that to zip it just didn’t seem necessary lol but I still enjoyed the show and he’s not a bad character regardless.
Where is it... WHERE IS IT!
Uhhh can't even get past the character designs. It's straight up Concord all over again.
