I'm expecting at least 3 figures on the 95 list to be the Cyberjets. In terms of articulation, they're as good as Dreadwing and Smokescreen. I still have mine on display with my modern figures.
Run it’s Dreadwing I’m Dreadwing! New Dreadwing Is punishing His Gatling gun is illin'! This Decepticon bomber's a Transformer-rama, A three-in-one villain that's chillin'! Combat tank and sonic jet Transform into double-trouble robots Their missiles go boom Spelling certain doom As they take apart the awesome Autobots!
Smokescreen is still one of my favorite Transformers to date. The engineering is superb and I love the fact that it can do a decent Guardian mode like the Veritech fighters from Robotech can.
Generation two Manta Ray is actually one of the figures I own my parents found him in a thrift store when I was I think 5 or 6 Back in the early 2000s.
I have no recollection of seeing Manta Ray ever before, and I was born in 84 and buying Transformers almost my whole life. I would love to see him get a new toy, because as you said, boat TFs are rare.
Less first hand experience here, but I did get to enjoy the Hero versions of Prime and Megs, as well as Dreadwing and Smokscreen via their “Robots in Disguise” releases and they’re all amazing. Slim pickings this year, but also some really great alt modes!
Would be neat to see them attempt the laser rods again. Don't need the gimmick but just do modern versions of those toys. Could have separate weapons that glow in the dark or light up when u click them.
I always wanted G2 Ransack and Manta Ray as kid. I still have my Leadfoot, Powerdive, Electro, Combat Hero Optimus Prime / Megatron, and Dreadwing / Smokescreen. Electro even still looks intact as long as I leave him in alt mode. I only have six G2 toys that I'll say are on par with modern figures, and Dreadwing and Smokscreen are two of them.
I’m really surprised we haven’t seen G2 Hero Megatron in his classic G2 green and purple, or G1 gray, black, and red. I really want to see how that would look against the classic G1 Prime, since they scale so well.
ah 1994. you gotta hold one for 2 more years before we get to something actually worth while. G2 was a DARK time for the franchise also, Hero Optimus was my first transformers figure I can remember. I think I got him around 1998 or 1999. never had the missile part of him and he's currently missing an arm and is VERY floppy. still a good figure though
The year that G2 started to come into its own, with HEAVY METAL CRUNCHIN TIME Combat Optimus and Megatron, FLYING ALL AROUND IN THE AIR ON THE GROUND Rotor Force, NEW Dreadwing with his GATLING GUN THAT’S ILLIN and Smokescreen, and LASER IN THE DARK, LASER ON GUARD Laser Rods. Also, the delightfully gaudy Aerialbots THAT CAN ALL CHANGE TO BE REARRANGED TO FORM A SUPER ROBOT SUPERION and the Combaticons who ALL COMBINE TO KICK SUPERION’S BEHIND AS THE BIG BAD BATTLIN’ BRUTICUS. I have no idea what’s happened to my comment; it was normal like this when I first wrote it. _ro-bots in disguise~_
I HAD FOUND YEARS AGO TWO CARDED ELECTRO FIGURES... THE ONE I OPENED COLLAPSED INTO PIECES RIGHT AWAY ! THE OTHER ONE I KEPT IT AS IT IS STILL CARDED...
My top 10. 10. Ransack, like the vehicle but robot is terrible. 9. Powerdive, like the robot but why does the vehicle have two rotors sitting on top of each other? 8. Jolt, hate the paint job. I'm surprised TJ said you can't go wrong with this color scheme because he looks exactly like Universe Silverbolt to me. Maybe that's just me being color blind but you absolutely can go wrong with this color scheme. It's garishly bright hot pink and purple. TJ mentioned blue which is a color I can't actually see so the shade of blue they used here just looks gawd awful to my eyes. 7. Volt, would look like Hot Rod if the flames on his chest weren't upside down. 6. Sizzel, like the darker colors and the unique shape to his sword. 5. Electro, I love the engineering level on this figure that is surprisingly complex for the time. 4. Leadfoor, like the vehicle mode even if the rotor is silly. 3. Manta Ray, like aquatic transformers and being color blind I can't tell yellow from green on this guy, explain? 2. Optimus Prime, I think the mold looks better as Scourge. As Optimus Prime I'm not a fan of how the cab looks. 1. Dreadwing AND Smokescreen... yes I'm cheating they technically combine in vehicle mode so I'm including them both together. I like Dreadwing more as he can do more on his own and the stealth bomber is just a cooler jet mode. Smokescreen on his own is kind of a boring toy. But honestly even if I didn't include Smokescreen I'd still put Dreadwing as number 1 here. Smokescreen would be like number 9 knocking Powerdive to 10 and Ransack off the list. So I cheated to put all 11 toys on the list. I got confused after seeing Megatron on the list before I realized... TJ also cheated on number 1. I didn't include Megatron because he technically isn't a 1994 figure. Like that's just the G2 Megatron with some remolded parts and a different paint scheme. At least that's what I initially thought but looking closer at a side by side comparison it looks like they just share a similar transformation scheme? I'm still not going to include him cause it's just too similar to the G2 Megatron from the previous year with a new gimmick attached to it. It feels like the same toy.
I actually had Sizzle(that how you spell it?) growing up and I loved him, til he became loose as all hell and I lost his sword. Fun while it lasted though
Did you say #1 was released in Energon? I don't remember seeing that. I've only seen them in Beast Wars II though I've not obtained the toys from any generation.
I love that the Dreadwing toy got screentime as BB in Beast Wars II. He’s such a big lovable oaf with more missiles than brain cells
Ahhh 1994, the year when sega thought the sega saturn was a good idea and sony released the playstation.
Sega fallen to sony trap. But nintendo didnt.
@@RACH90810 They did, they just took too long to make a console.
@@RetroDark_The_Wizard wait till old ones decline then new console to refresh.
On the other hand, Segata Sanshiro💪
Transformers in 1994: **drowning in blood noises**
Are there even 10 in 95?
We know what 96 will be.
We passed the dead years, should be enough.
there’s Lazer Prime the cyberjets the spy changers the Lazer cycles and the Autorollers.
I'm expecting at least 3 figures on the 95 list to be the Cyberjets. In terms of articulation, they're as good as Dreadwing and Smokescreen. I still have mine on display with my modern figures.
My 10 . 10 - manta ray 9. Jolt 8. Sizzle 7. Power dive 6. Volt 5. Leadfoot 4. Electro 3. Optimus Prime 2. Megatron 1. Dreadwing/smokescreen
1995 is Gobots and Laser Optimus Prime in the US.
Run it’s Dreadwing
I’m Dreadwing!
New Dreadwing

His Gatling gun is illin'!
This Decepticon bomber's a
Transformer-rama,
A three-in-one villain that's chillin'!
Combat tank and sonic jet
Transform into double-trouble robots
Their missiles go boom
Spelling certain doom
As they take apart the awesome Autobots!
AND DREADWING’S TWICE AS DEADLY!
Smokescreen is still one of my favorite Transformers to date. The engineering is superb and I love the fact that it can do a decent Guardian mode like the Veritech fighters from Robotech can.
SO THAT'S WHAT THOSE WEIRD MISSILE LAUNCHERS WENT TOOOOOO! I had Smokescreen's guns for SOOO LONG and never knew what they went to
Generation two Manta Ray is actually one of the figures I own my parents found him in a thrift store when I was I think 5 or 6 Back in the early 2000s.
This list is Hero Megatron, Dreadwing, and their blade wielding friends.
I wish they made more figures that turn into old school hot-rods! Those vehicles are so cool and underused!
Leadfoot looks like mirage took dragstrips yellow paint.
Valvo Optimus, with that ones colors
9:06 and there WAS electro. Nowadays he transforms into a pile of broken dreams
When a G2 list ends up with the Dreadwing-Smokescreen combo team right on top, you know it was expertly done! Kudos, man! 🎉😊🎉
I have no recollection of seeing Manta Ray ever before, and I was born in 84 and buying Transformers almost my whole life. I would love to see him get a new toy, because as you said, boat TFs are rare.

Dreadwing was so awesome. Just wish smokescreen didn't snap in half. But i did get a repaint do i was still glad to have him.
Nice! I was well out of it by '94, and even with all the hours I've spent reading tfwiki, I've never seen some of these toys. Very cool
I think Ransack looks pretty cool. It’s not everyday we get a Transforming F4U Corsair.
Would be neat to see them attempt the laser rods again. Don't need the gimmick but just do modern versions of those toys. Could have separate weapons that glow in the dark or light up when u click them.
i love purple megatron he was my first transformer and i liked to think of him as pre beast wars megatron
You know, with that gun on his arm and the big rockets, if hasbro ever wanted to make a "g1 reissue" toy for Gilthor, hero prime would be perfect.
Ok, we need some modern laser rods. Could even do like 2 and repaint them for the others and i wouldnt be mad.
Man, I really hope Legacy gives us a leader class G2 Dreadwing sometime in the future.
I only had Dreadwing and Smokescreen from this list. I would love to see Hasbro give them updated toys.
I’m really surprised we haven’t seen G2 Hero Megatron in his classic G2 green and purple, or G1 gray, black, and red. I really want to see how that would look against the classic G1 Prime, since they scale so well.

I just got smokescreen for like 7 bucks and he’s AWESOME. I wanna get the beast wars 2 repaint starscream and BB.
Thank you just gave me an idea

I HAD FOUND YEARS AGO TWO CARDED ELECTRO FIGURES... THE ONE I OPENED COLLAPSED INTO PIECES RIGHT AWAY ! THE OTHER ONE I KEPT IT AS IT IS STILL CARDED...
Leadfoot makes sense, just look up the Brabham BT46B, known as the Fan Car.
My top 10.
10. Ransack, like the vehicle but robot is terrible.
9. Powerdive, like the robot but why does the vehicle have two rotors sitting on top of each other?

Electro got an update in the botcon redux. He was made from the classic kup mold.
As always this is just really awesome
Manta Ray sort of reminds me of a Cobra Water Moccasin from GI Joe in his boat mode
I actually had Sizzle(that how you spell it?) growing up and I loved him, til he became loose as all hell and I lost his sword. Fun while it lasted though
So, laser Optimus prime didn’t even make the list in the first place. I thought this was gonna be one of the rare list that had two Optimus primes.
Since boat TFs are rare, maybe they could get their own top 10 or tier list?
Ransack looking like a Sky Pirate from Tail Spin
Would love to see Electro in a blue coloring, just look at his face, it IS Soundwave.
I think G2 Brawl was the only TF I bought that year.
I kinda want G2 Ransack because I could have every incarnation of ransack :p
g2 dreadwing has 3 more mods on the Japanese packaging and one of them is the one in the image
Did you say #1 was released in Energon? I don't remember seeing that. I've only seen them in Beast Wars II though I've not obtained the toys from any generation.
I kinda wish I got one version of the Dreadwing set
Rotorforces could have been happy meal toys 😅
Ransack is probably gonna comission the commitee for a recount
Generation Two G2 (30 Years)
I really want a New Hero Megatron color and not the one who seems to cut up Tigatron.
What about the dropkick from the transformers' live-action movie 007 game that transformers into a pickup truck repainted into electro
Huh, I thought the Laser Cycles and Laser Prime were from 94!
oh hey G2 Lugnut
Had all those
I had that Megatron and for some reason for a long time I thought it was a knock-off I dunno why
Obviously Dreadwing is the best because his gatlin gun is 'illin!
Commander Dreadwing and Smokescreen when
that optimus prime is sureshot for me
The 1995 list will be short.
