Woooo, more meat to the Knox County grinder! A few things for the next time you all play. - Guns are weird in this game coming from other games where you can just point and click. There is an option to show an outline that will indicate which zombies you are aiming at and the color shows how likely you are to hit and it's basically required to use guns. Whether you're moving or not, how panicked you character is, and what level your aiming skill is all effect how likely you are to hit something. To get started shooting find a couple of JS-2000 shotguns and as much ammo for them as you can get, find some beta blockers so your character won't get panicked as easily (which also helps keep reload times down), hop in the car of your choice, roll down the windows, and drive around slowly (best done with a designated driver focused only on driving) while blasting anything in sight. The car allows you to make a run for it if the shotgun's 200 tile radius sound attracts too many for the group to handle. This can be done solo and on foot but the car and friends make it much safer. Once you level up your aiming to about 3 you can start to use handguns at a decent level (I tend to stick with revolvers because I hate fucking with magazines and the Magnum is a beast) and then you can work up to civilian and military rifles. - Spear weapons are your some of your best two-handed melee friends. While less cheesy than they used to be with the recent changes to foraging, they are still exceptionally useful. Basic spears are extremely cheap (only requiring a plank and some sort of cutting device), they can be upgraded by duct taping various tools and blades to the end of them, they have an instant kill animation that can be fairly reliably activated once you get the hang of it (the zombie you are targeting needs to be either alone or a certain distance away from their friends), they have a good chance to instant kill even without the special animation, and you can stand at the bank of bodies of water and spearfish! While the basic spears have rather low durability (increased with your Carpentry skill while crafting them I believe), they are good for leveling up your Spear and Maintenance skills so when you find a Garden Fork you can wield it like the WMD that it is. - The XP gains in this game are atrocious. Don't feel bad if you guys want to boost them a bit to get the ball rolling faster while playing. If you don't want to do that, you can watch skill based shows on the Life and Living TV station (these only air for like the first week in game at set times), watch VHSs for the same thing in cased you missed some episodes, and read Skill Books to get bonuses to XP earned. - Many objects can be moved in game by clicking the Counter icon on the left side of your screen and selecting the "Pick Up" option. For example, the barricades at 23:50 can be picked up and moved. Large pieces of furniture, like beds, can be broken down into pieces to be moved as well, although many of them will have a chance to not yield all their pieces unless you have some levels into Carpentry because apparently the player characters are too stupid to take apart a bed without breaking it. Small windows (not the large panes of glass that you find on businesses in game) can be picked up with a crowbar (again with a scaling chance to breaks). Walls, and fences can not be picked up but can be destroyed with a Sledgehammer. Doors also can not be picked up but they can be bashed down with weapons, axes and the pickaxe do the most damage, or they can also be destroyed with the Sledgehammer. - Killing zombies inside a building gives them a chance to have a key to that building in their inventory. Certain buildings are sectioned off into a few different areas with storage facilities being the main ones I can think of. Those will generally have at least one open storage unit that you can lead zombies into to get a key. Then just run around and find out which units that key will open in that building. Locking doors with your newly acquired key will increase the amount of time zombies have to hit it to break it down. - Wearing gloves will allow you to pick up glass shards and remove them from windows without having to worry about cutting the shit out of yourself. You still have a chance to get impaled if you jump through a shattered window even if you have gloves on. - This one may be anecdotal but West Point has always seemed to have way more zombies than other towns besides Louisville. It can be rather trying to get set up there. I rather like starting in Rosewood and gunning for the Fire Station since it has a good chance to spawn Axes and has a lot of amenities upstairs for when the Firefighters were still alive and living there. It is also right next to the Police Department so you can get some guns early. You can also go to the Prison down the street or the Military Base a bit farther out if you want to fight giant hordes. - While some mods change the game a bit t much for my tastes, certain car mods are an instant addition to all my play throughs. Specifically the Autostar Trailer and Bus mods, the vehicle mods made by KI5, the 1969 Ford Mustang 429 Boss by MrDanny, the M113A1 APC by Wilespring, Filibuster Rhymes' Used Cars, and more recently Tread's Water Tank Truck mod. Just be careful with trailers, sometimes reality rejects them and you end up hovering in a flying car continuously taking damage and being unable to get out.

I was happy to get to day 2 with a car full of gas, a house full of supplies, and a good safe house. Needed food though, so I thought I'd take my new ride and get some groceries. Next thing I know, I'm in a pharmacy with blood gushing from the glass that ripped both my legs, and a horde of zombies at the pharmacy window.
I dont know if this is possible still, but if you set a campfire near your car you can set all zombies on fire, first park your car next to a wall or other car to block the driver seat, set the campfire and go back in the car and stay on the driver seat you can change seats while in the car and the zombies wont break the passenger seat windows, unless the devs fixed that

Stan gets bitten all the time and the last thing he does is attract every zombie in the vicinity to himself, while walking with the boys
I mean that would be a good strat, if he was alone, far from everyone else and without any loot
Been excited for this ever since i saw the vod. Finally its hear
*breaks window with barehands*
"400 kills in 15 days"
it all makes sense now
Great vid with editing and all the chaos! Keep it up! (Also SR vid was great as well!)
project zomboid? now thats a name I haven’t heard in a LONG time. glad to see its making some sort of comeback :)
Its blown up a lot recently, it has like 30,000 daily players on steam rn
When he yelled, "They're in the fucking trees!" I got Vietnam Flashbacks.
Glen: Alright, I'm gonna go grab some water.
*face dives into the wall*
Rewatching this after a year without seeing it is such a good trip
that first car crash was nuts, gotta love latency glitches
Kaif the number 1 rule of project zomboid is to always keep an eye on any cooking device.
You've honestly convinced me to buy the game! You inspire me Kaif! Love yall at SR
Hearing the screams of the lads in the distance while you giggle like a maniac will never not be funny!
The unexpected "Hesitation is Defeat" quote was hilarious, well made video!
Ahh, PZ's MP driving is so scuffed that its funny, one time me and my friend was driving back to Westpoint from Muldraugh, at one point we were side by side, literally a second later he somehow t-boned my car, took 2/3 of my health lmao, even better is that when he went to rescue me i got bit, so once we arrived back at our base we administered a "cure injection" via 12-gauge shotgun to the back of the head
That's hilarious! That house was also my 1st safehouse and I too accidentally burned it down the exact same way.
Guy in Vietnam and Kaif: "THEY"RE IN THE FUCKING TREEES!!"
I have seen this video like fukng 10 times now and im still not tired of it. I loved the vid. Keep up the great vids man.
I would love to see a Full blown Series of this its so hilarious
Absolutely lovely, Kaif and Stan Roadtrip ft. dead men.
18:15
The only thing i can hear here is
"You're never gonna catch meee!"
"You're wastin' your time!"
you guys didn't even get passed day 1 without getting yourselves killed that is the most comedic thing ive ever seen it's like this one meme and i quote "Boss you killed a child great work keep it up"
TV - "Only you can prevent Forest Fires"
SR - "FIRE BURN AHAHAHAHA!"
Stan is somehow Lawful, Neutral, and Chaotic evil
Watching Kaif try to shoot while moving was hilarious and painful
just so you know turning the lights on at night is one of the LOUDEST things in the game and it will call zombies to were you are.
During the Apocalypse, the zombies aren't the worst thing, introverts unite, it's people we fear!
I come back to this video everytime just because of how hard I laugh at it
Man I love wachimg people unaware that geting bit mean your dead then they slowly relize
I'd love to see the SR lads tackle 7 days to die, that'd be a hell of a video.
This is an odyssey of pain, Kaif.
17:13 the spirit of Chucky possessed this poor man’s soul
That pharmacy run felt more like a PAYDAY Heist
Basically TWD. Everywhere the group goes, the place burns down. But more chaotic. xD
this is the most dysfunctional group of zomboid players I've seen and I love it
20:34 Okay that was actually brillant xD The explosion xD
"Handsome Kaif isn't real, he can't hurt you."
Handsome Kaif:
With one like two minute segment we get the best part, everybody who got bits reaction to knowing they are gonna fucking die
Kaif man ur vids have changed my life I’m drunk as shit and I love you m8 I’ve been watching you like for the last year I’ve watched almost every video atleast twice and atleast every scp and among us vid atleast five times ur my fav homie and I love the content homie
I would love for SR to play some more pavlov. They'll go apeshit with the WWII weapons
Ryan started the fire, It was always burning since the world's been turning
I’m only now getting home from work this is like a godsend
Solid evidence that Brad was involved in all car carcrashes
The taxi turned into his lane, but he drove directly into the black van for a guaranteed KO on himself lmao
He loses his wheel on a zombie weirdly :P
I was happy to get to day 2 with a car full of gas, a house full of supplies, and a good safe house. Needed food though, so I thought I'd take my new ride and get some groceries. Next thing I know, I'm in a pharmacy with blood gushing from the glass that ripped both my legs, and a horde of zombies at the pharmacy window.
I dont know if this is possible still, but if you set a campfire near your car you can set all zombies on fire, first park your car next to a wall or other car to block the driver seat, set the campfire and go back in the car and stay on the driver seat you can change seats while in the car and the zombies wont break the passenger seat windows, unless the devs fixed that
This is why I'm so glad multiplayer is back. xD There's something....magical., about how a single dude can fail to operate a oven and end up accidently torching all of Louisville.
So much freakin chaos in just the first day.
I wanted to see you all play zomboid sooooo much for months.
23:16 “They’re in the fucking trees!!!” Something a Vietnam vet can relate to
I'm dying for more Zomboid content from you bro, please pump some more out soon
Fire is the most destructive force in project zomboid 1 small fire can clear a city if done right just there will only be cinders left and fire
what a good lad you are not rolling over zombie citizen crssing the road
SR once again proving even the most boring of games can be fun when you have an awesome group of friends
The “Something doesn’t feel right” is when you’re gonna turn into a zombie soon...
The funniest part is the road was burning. And its fricking rock and cement. İ onlu though oh that house is gone until i seen the fire spreading on the ground with rocks
“im gonna grab some water”
*runs into a wall*
do some reunion of these, the chaos is beautiful
When kaif uploads you know its gonna be good
15:16 they wanted a piece of that glorious stash gap
If there’s 3 people’s laughter from this group that makes me wanna join in, it’s Kaif, Sam, And Daz.
Spawns in as ex-fireman
Starts fire
Server: "WTF?!"
*there's a reason he's an ex-fireman*
