Great answer. I am torn between these and the more expensive JBL and Kicker. I intend to go solely with the 4 drop in speakers and no sub so bass does matter. Lots of 6.5" suck, especially the cheaper ones, but I know MTX has stuck around pretty fair level in the past decade so I was just wondering if they are still reliable. Thanks dude !

Yes I have compared to other 6.5" speakers but for the price i think these are a good balance between price and quality. Unless you're a super picky audio guy, these are a good buy. They are quite loud and have good sound quality. Yes mine are non amplified and the bass is pretty good, however if that is not good enough I also have a sub in my trunk.

Two quick questions :
Have you ever compared these to any other 6.5 " out there?
If yours are non amplified (head unit powered only), does the bass sound weak, or like there is a need to include an amplifier?

Upload a video of how to install if u want that would be cool or at least how they sound. Also how much were they cus u said u got them for 40$ off the base price. So how much do they cost?

Do these speakers put out good bass? I'm debating on these mtx speakers or infinity 62.11i so I want to make the best decision. thankss
