If I heard this without seeing Matteo and his band, I would've thought it was an amazing old jazz group. This young man will be one of the greats.

You can tell Matteo has been listening to and diggin some George Benson! Several quotes and similarities to George’s solo on Billies bounce. A true legend here that has digested so many influences. He goes from benson influence to Eric Johnson and Gilbert to modern fusion and beyond into his own territory. WOW

I love MM, but he did not have to turn this song into a shred fest. Just my opinion.
Well, since he wrote it, I guess he can do what he pleases with his own songs.
He is a virtuoso educated sophisticated shredder man.
I guess that's what he does. Honestly, it's not for me either. He has so much skill and I keep hoping he'll use it to play a good song (granted good is subjective), but it always seems to end up in a long drawn out jazz shed which tends to bore me pretty quickly.
