Not to say this performance was not great, but man, Apollo and Bob were a big part of this band, and after seeing it live when they were there, i can see now something's missing. The premonition and days of defiance were my best firewind's years. I wish you guys long life.
I have to fully agree. It's not even close to the same. I saw firewind twice with Bob an Apollo (one time my old band was opening for them in Vienna). Of course it's good but no where near the level it was before.

Btw: try listening to this song from Live Premonition and then go back to this version. You might be surprised how much better this performance actually is. 😎
Pretty good version yeh, but I am certain with a second guitar (Bob or not..), and a different singer is and would be again much much better. I love Firewind, already saw you live 3 times in London and Athens and I can honestly say, Herbie might be a good singer but I don't really like his performances of songs from other Eras. Premonition era might be my favourite, but I somehow feel Henning Basse was the best to perform songs from all Eras. Even though we all know he wasn't at his best in the end. Its all personal preferences of course, and what matters is that Firewind are a great great band!

Never heard any music from Firewind till today. Happen to be here for some time bc I know Gus from Ozzy and he got some nice guitar vids. Now I somehow stumbled across the fact that firewind is actually power metal. Me being an power metal fan of "the old stuff" had to check it out and damn. This shit is fire. Great singer, even a german guy haha, fantastic guitar work (as expected). Now I got some work to do to catch up with their music.
You've missed out man. You should have seen them performing live on Herman Li's Twitch livestream when they were playing with DragonForce last year. That's how I discovered them.

Firewind is one of my favorite bands and I love the band so much. Apollo was a big inspiration to me when it came to singing and I’m probably a bit bias but I miss Apollo. This singer is great too though but I also really really enjoyed Henning Basse vocals well over though. No dissing just a preference. Will still listen to Firewind no matter what lol
Im sad covid got in the way of them coming to Calgary, Canada. Gus is easily a top 3 guitar inspiration for me. Watching this just makes you want to practice and get better!
Man i`ve been a huge fan of Firewind since i was a kid, Premonition and Days of defiance were my absolute favorite albums, i bought a Gus signature ESP back in the day which i wish i still had, and finally in 2023 i will see you live in Oslo, it will be amazing for sure
Fantastic production. I always thought the only thing that let the Live Premonition DVD down was that the mix was very dry sounding, but this sounds absolutely stellar.

I can't believe a single guitar can sound so fat. On albums it's usually achieved with 4 tracks (2 left, 2 right). I'll definitely look for a video introducing your rig.

Surprisingly simple, but the sound is killer. Can' t wait to hear it live on 12th of March 2023.
