The song is about a real little girl (rorochan_1999) who did livestream herself jumping to her death. I initially felt conflicted about this song because in a way, I felt like it capitalized on or romanticized the tragedy.
But it is actually because of the song that more attention was brought to the case and information regarding her internet presence was discovered. Before that, the tragedy was almost forgotten about. I also feel that songs about such things are important so that people going through it won't feel so alone or misunderstood as rorochan did.
I don't think the song has come from a place of sensationalism, but rather a sense of sympathy in relating to her position.
So, I hope that if you relate to her feelings that you can see by example that she was never alone in her feelings.
It's disrespectful in my opinion for people to aestheticize the event or "kin" rorochan or anything like that. I recently lost someone to suicide and I can't describe how disturbing that would be.
I think of both my friend, rorochan, and even my own feelings when making this.
So please don't be disrespectful

I've had this ust completed for awhile, but I had no illustration for it so that's why I'm only releasing it now.
This song is very tragic and I have somewhat conflicting feelings about it, but it's also very cathartic and really captures the feeling of a type of familiar trauma, so it has a place in my heart.
I also made the cover when I was really really mentally unwell so I was like, "maybe I shouldn't cus it's bad vibes" but now I'm fine so like whatever LKDKL.
It's a bit messy cus of that, though. Some of it is slightly off time, but it's easy to chop around.
I made the off vocal artificially with vocal remover, I left it in the folder.
The song also has no actual harms, so I just rendered the melody with other utau to create a "chorus" effect similar to the original song.
I also changed some of the pronouns in the lyrics (changing shoujo to shounen etc.) I believe I changed it back to the original lyrics in the ust but I'm unsure honestly.

This song and her whole story is so tragic. I found out about her because of this song. It's insane how there were so many signs that she was unwell and everyone just... ignored them and even worse: some viewers dared her to jump. Her story is really tragic.
It is really sad. It hurts to think about, and I often think about the many others I know/knew in a similar position. People can be cruel, so I suppose the best we can do to counter that is be kind and hopefully other "rurus" in the world will not feel as alone as she did.
Its sad how even now people refuse to show some sort of kindness to her. Some say 'she deserved it' or 'shes some waifu who dies' and its just...horrible.

EDIT: As this cover slowly is getting more views, I just wanna ask that the comments stay respectful as possible because a lot of depressed people come to listen to this song and I really don't want it to be tainted by arguments or weirdness.
I've never gotten 10,000 ish number views on a YT video before. I know it is rather small, at least relative to other users, but I appreciate it 💝
I hope that it helps comfort a number of people to let them know that they are understood, and I'm glad if a handful more will know about roro_chan
And I'm sorry to anyone that is seemingly offended by this cover, but know that it was made from a place of relating to those feelings and reaching others who do as well, and making the story of the song more known, not out of a desire to belittle or romanticize it. I otherwise would not put as much work as I did into the cover and PV if it was for childish reasons.
I covered this song at the time because it captured a feeling that I found hard to describe, which made me feel more understood and less alone, so my hope is just that other people can get something similar out of the song.

Last year I was contemplating suicide more than ever and was even self harming, the song has helped me a lot knowing that there is people who feel the same things as me too. This cover just brought me to tears, I love it

This song makes me think of my best friend a lot tbh. Her name was Sarah, she died when we were 12. She was suicidal, hurting herself, and no adult was taking her seriously. I was the only one who actively tried to stop her. I have a horrible feeling, that even if it hadn't been a car accident that killed her, she would have died young anyways.
I don't know exactly what about this song it is, but when I listen to it, I find myself thinking of our memories together and if there was anything I could have done differently.
I've blamed myself for her death for a long time. I'm 18 now, and it still feels like it was my fault.
I told the adults she was cutting herself.
They sent her to psychiatry.
The car accident happened on the way home.
I'm so sorry to hear that you went through that. I know exactly how it feels. My closest friend was suicidal for such a long time before taking her life and I've blamed myself for such a long time and felt like I failed her because as many times as I stopped her, it only took being too late that one last time for her to be gone. But going through that myself, I know that if your friend were able to talk to you, they probably wouldn't want you to blame yourself at all. There was no way you could have known about the car accident. You gave her a friend and someone who cared about her and listened to her, and I'm sure that it meant more to her than you could know.

herself in front me, i don't have make anything for help her because call an ambulance was to much unless.
Provabily if i had called an ambulance she now can be here with me, the only thing i did was look her blood dirty my clothes.In this case is all my fault, now what i have get from this?

Thank you for this beautiful cover. Your tuning evokes something that is difficult to explain- raw and painful, but cathartic. I first listened to the original while contemplating ending my own life, looking for an outlet for the thoughts and feelings I couldn't escape. I struggled with how the cute character and vocals seemed to contrast with how scared and out of control I felt. Listening to this version, with its somewhat chaotic vocals, connected with me on an entirely unexpected level and has allowed me to finally release some of that pain. I am no longer the terrified girl who I was then, and I never will be again.
I am so unbelievably happy to know that you found comfort in this song in any type of way. I'm honestly so grateful for your words and I hope you can continue to find some hope in knowing you're not alone in your feelings. Just wanted to say thank you for not only making a really good cover for a song that I listen to whenever I’m in crisis, but also spreading the story of rorochan. I feel like since the original song came out, more and more people are realizing how big of an issue suicide is. And I’m glad others like me, can find comfort in songs like this when we feel alone.
And also about your friend, I’m so sorry :,( but coming from someone who is currently suicidal/dealing with depression, it wasn’t your fault and I hope you don’t feel any guilt about their passing (like many others do). People who are in such a deep and dark depression can’t truly control themselves sometimes, and unfortunately sometimes no matter how much someone can try and help someone else, the other person may not accept the help or feel as if they don’t deserve it. Which is a horrible thing to think about but I promise that your friend is in a better place now, and wouldn’t want you or anyone to feel guilty about their passing.

I remember listening to this song not too long ago, this cover is outstanding.
When I first started listening to this I was trying a way to escape if it meant to off myself or to just find a way to mask my sadness, I was close to actually doing it and this song was gonna be playing there, luckily I got help in time, doesn’t mean my depression is gone but it has gotten better

The song references other people who committed for a reason, this song was made to raise awareness about suicide in general, not just to raise awareness about one case.
Note: But, this song was inspired by her suicide which is why the character made for this song Ruru Chan has a similar name.

This cover is gorgeous. I am not too familiar with the girl or her situation before her passing, but it was such a big trend in 2020 and it came of as weird to me.
She committed and yet her death was used for clout. This song was used for the wrong reasons.
And I hated it.
Especially because at the time me and others I knew were feeling as low as she must off.
I hope she rests well and I hope people stop being iffy about her, she was young I assume and didn’t deserve anything
