Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, or power generation equipment. Electrical engineers also design the electrical systems of automobiles and aircraft.
Electronics engineers design and develop electronic equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, such as portable music players and Global Positioning System (GPS) devices. Many also work in areas closely related to computer hardware.

Easier said that done, what might look like a drawing to you could mean life or death to a engineer. Just pursue the career knowing the difficulties and responsibilities.

You come from a hard working background, i believe you got this! But be warned, physical work is not mental work. Completely different muscle. You’ll get used to after a year in engineering.

I’ve been working at a plant in Cali as a machine operator for about a year. When I first got the position I was unexperienced and really felt like I was working with some super advanced machinery I’ve never seen in my life but this last year I’ve learned how to operate it well. However these machines do have consistent problems that of course me as the operator is in charge of fixing. But when I cannot fix it due to my lack of experience and knowledge I then would call a technician who focuses more on the inner electrical parts of the machine. Every chance I get I would spectate the techs and their work was very fascinating to me. I wanted to learn more which is why I decided to go back to school. I will be going to a community college but I do want to go to a university and get that professional license. However Im not entirely sure what courses to take and as far as electives, I would like to chose some that would benefit my understanding of electrical engineering. What would you recommend?

Technicians mainly do repairs on electrical equipment. You can still get a good understanding of electricity and all those components. For that, all you will need is either trade school or an associates degree in electronics technology(I think this is correct). Electrical engineering do more of the designs for electrical systems, testing, programming which will require a bachelors degree in electrical engineering if you are interested in becoming an electrical engineer (which is math heavy and consists of courses such as calculus 1, 2 ,3 and Physics courses that are calculus based and these are just the start of the major) Whichever it is, go for it! You got this!

If you want to just learn how to work on machines (like CNC machines), you just need to take AC and DC circtuits, CNC programming, PLC programming and a few relevant courses from any mechatronics/electronics technology curriculum at a community college. I am a technician and diagnose issues with CNC machines and often fix them.

Community colleges have apprenticeship you get experience from county and get journeyman license with associate degree, so you can also transfer to uni if you want but I bet you wont need batchelor

Hello! I am an upcoming freshman in college and it's been hard for me in which course should I choose. I just want a quick answer from you on which among the two electrical and electronics engineering has better scope, job opportunities, and high paying? I would highly appreciate your response. TYIA😀 I like your videos btw. ❤️

Thanks! Honestly, there is so much overlap between electrical, electronics, and computer hardware. The highest paying would be computer hardware in California. Can't go wrong with either. If you look at job postings, most companies are open to either electronics / electrical.

Starting salaries have also decreased and furthermore good money won’t come until you get your PE license, which before even taking the test for you need 5 years of experience working under another PE.
