This story about your mom touches my heart. My mom fought cancer twice in the past ten years. She is a survivor. Cancer free one year now. I pray every day to God for everything that I have. I myself have epilepsey and I have a tumor on my brain. Keep singing and being you. God Bless. Jessica Huxley. xoxo

My brother was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia when he was 59 years old. Within 5 years his brain function deteriorated, and he passed away in hospice care when he was 64. He remembered people, but his physical abilities to the point of swallowing was diminished and he was having hallucinations frequently. It was horrible to see him deteriorate at such a young age and sad. I want to thank you so much for bringing dementia to the forefront and for raising so much money to find a cure. All the dementia diseases have a link and by putting a spotlight on it (regarding your mother). I hope you do well in the voice competition....I know you will..

Lost mine Oct 19. Still can’t seem to grieve. I lost her years ago in my heart. Cried it all out I guess. When she died I wasn’t worried about her needing to go to the nursing home or getting hurt. She knew most of us but her ability to even love us was strange. I watch your videos with her and I feel it in my soul. Bless you Jay.

Wow, Jay, you have such a special heart. The way you have supported your ailing mother in times that where VERY HARD to deal with …makes you a very wonderful human being. Jay, not just bc I’m also from Iowa, but bc I truly believe YOU have a special gift & deserve to make it big! Somehow I bumped into your song as you hugged your mom on stage…and right then, I knew you were someone special that God has blessed with a talent that connects with ppl! Give it all you got! I predict you’ll win THE VOICE! I’ll vote for you hands down every time as many times as possible! And it’s wonderful that you found such a beautiful fiancé (I think now your wife) who is also in the music biz. I wish you all the very best! Let’s do this!!! 🫵You’re a WINNER! 🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌

After I saw you on The Voice, I immediately came on You Tube to see and hear more! I cared for my amazing mom until her dementia took over so badly that I had to put her in a nursing home where they could give her the care that I was no longer physically able to give. It broke my heart! She was my rock, my best friend and made me feel exactly how your mom made you feel. God finally took her after ten long years of living with this UGLY disease. Your song is amazing-- took me right back! Good luck to you on The Voice although you'll go places whether you win or not.

Going to see you next week in Wheaton, thanks for sharing your story, these terrible diseases have such an impact on families but you've found a way to be strong and connect with people. I just lost my wife, Mary Jo, last Monday on June 26th after a long difficult journey with Huntington's Disease so I completely understand. I played music for her all the time and I'll miss her forever but am thankful she's now at peace.

Jay thank you for this song. It helped me with parting with my mama as well. Aug 2021 she gained her wings. I think the part of the song "I know deep down your still in there" was the truest capture of what we all feel fighting the battle against this horrible disease. Your so right about those precious moments when your loved one remembers you. Nothing on this earth could compare to the joy and hope that floods through your veins at that moment. God bless you and everyone dealing with Alzheimers. #EndAlz

My mom is currently late stage and it's bad. Behavioral on every level. I had dementia like symptoms at 38 and know the seriousness. I also now advocate and educate about the reality and root cause. 💜💜💜 mymoldjourney dementiadoes jenipherwellness
