For a congregation it's nice to hear 3 different harmonisations of the same hymn! This hymn very well-known in Lithuania and sung especially in the month of May which is dedicated to Mary.

One thing I particularly love about the online organ community is finding out which hymns are known and/or popular (or not as the case may be) throughout the world.
Agree with you Vidas, having some variety is enjoyable, perhaps especially so when the hymn is well known, to add some extra enjoyment ❤️

Sounds great! I don’t know this hymn, but I like it! 🎶

It's a really beautiful one Phil - the Hymnary reference gives a link to the NEH arrangement, which is 7 verses (good processional/recessional), but some can be interchanged for different seasons - the words themselves are incredibly powerful too
Seems to feature more in Aus & UK as far as I know - but could have a welcome intro to the US via Florida..... 😁

      Fair play 😁🤣
And in truth, I'll be using both throughout - his 400 (which is *incredible*) is my go-to each Sunday ❤️

Also, incredibly honoured you've stopped by Chris - we know him from his music, but I'm venturing a guess there's more a familial relationship with great man?

      Yes, my Father❤
The 400 last verses can be found in Lofts all around the world!😄

For what it's worth, I hope hearing his music around the internet (and the lofts) keeps his spirit alive ❤️

That was awesome David. What sample set is this? Loved the sound like in a great cathedral!

      Thanks Scott!
I invested in the Salisbury Cathedral set from Milan Digital Audio - I couldn't go past the rich solo tuba stop or the 32' pedal diapason and reed stops 😁

I love this hymn but the tune sounds a little different to how I know it. Perhaps it’s been altered by Catholic congregations 😅
