Blushing Bride was the first one I ordered and an absolute favorite of mine. I’d love to see it re-envisioned as a 3d cameo style. That would be so beautiful.
I would love that! Artisaire isn’t making any 3D stampers at the moment but I’ve been working on how to make Blushed Bride 3D for when they bring it back!
I love all the wax stamps you recommended, Katrina! I also would add a few from Paper Ocelet: Secret Garden and Lavender Harvest are two of hers I really enjoy! I just ordered the cherry blossom, so I am looking forward to trying that one, too! My favorites at the moment are your new chinoserie bird and maybelle. Vintage Peonies is a classic and will never go out of style!!! I still need to get heron one of these days! I'm not big on initials, I have no idea why, but I love all the pretty designs! 💗💗💗
Yes! I love all of her designs though I haven’t caved on as many as I want to. I’m thinking I’ll go for the Sweet Magnolia next… I’m all about the florals 😅
Where does one go to have someone make custom batch stamps? I want to have my own designs to sell but struggling to find a place who custom makes these for shops. The only ones I have found do custom jobs for over £50 and many shops sell their own for £20-30. Not sure where to look!
I’ve worked with Artisaire and Stamptitude in the past but you’re right, it’s expensive! Even with a wholesale account. Typically the more you buy the more affordable it is but it’s a gamble then.
Are there more non circle seals, maybe a rounded sided square or triangle? Ohh, I'm feeling creative, maybe a rhombus. They're probably impractical and give bad results.
There are! I have an oval and I have seen but not yet purchased a square yet. But there are many many custom shape options if you explore different manufacturers ❤️ the possibilities are endless!
Sadly, no. Candle wax is designed to break down and disintegrate. Not what you want as the foundation of something you want to last for any length of time!
I think Aliexpress has copied your vintage peony stamp because I have seen it on sale there. I have a very similar one from there with the same positioning of flowers but a different 3dimensional pattern.
Oh dear. Thank you for letting me know. I’ve seen many people copy my art, and it’s so frustrating. I think people forget that I’m a real person trying to help care for my family. Or maybe they don’t care, hah
Ugh, sorry about the links! I’ll get on that right away. The wax is sold separately-the color I used for this video is probably my favorite color: Prosecco, which you can find here bit.ly/3uStrcy
@@bethjeans3780 Oh, Hahaha! Yes, the handle comes with the stamper-or you can purchase just the stamper, which is what I do to save space (and a few dollars). The brass handle is extra and definitely not necessary, but I did splurge to get one because it feels so fancy! Haha
@@katrinacrouch thanks! I was just wondering if the wax needed anything specific to keep it at its best, or like if they would stick to each other, etc. I think most of my seals will be made ahead of time and I don’t want to ruin my work!
Yes! Make sure it’s a solid metal so that it doesn’t melt itself, hah! Otherwise it should be fine. I used a metal teaspoon for several years before I finally purchased my melting spoon
Everyone has their own budget to stick to and respect. But I will say that I really appreciate the solid brass and overall quality of these stamps that I recommend. I also personally prefer to invest in North American companies (this one is in Canada) rather than sending my money to China constantly. This often means that I pay more for a specific item, but I save up, research carefully and acquire less.
@@katrinacrouch Even if I had all the money in the world, I wouldn't spend that much for a single brass stamp. There are so many other more important things to spend money on. 🙄
Look when you’re really into a hobby or an art form you’re willing to spend a little bit more for one or two special pieces. It’s her money her choice.
Thank you for sharing. I love how you get excited about each stamp. You make perfect round seals. You encouraged me to keep practicing.📧

Serendipitously, last night I was thinking about buying another seal and planned on looking at some of your past videos! So thank you! 😳😄
Perfect timing! You can’t go wrong with any of these!
Can you give tips on how to design a stamp?
That’s a great idea! I’ll get started 😊

Does Artisaire make their own stamp blanks, there the only place I've seen the rounded stamp head
Yes! You can find their blank stamps here: bit.ly/3meN6Cq
Thank you, Katrina, for this video.
Are there particular melting waxes that are preferred over others for better results?
I prefer Artisaire and Stamptitude (both are linked in the description) of the brands that I have tried ❤️
When shopping for quality wax, what should I look for?
Flexiblilty, no excess oil and even color

Hello! Katrina! Thank you for your video.💞. Welcome!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Does melting regular candle wax work for seals?
Sadly, no. Candle wax is designed to break down and disintegrate. Not what you want as the foundation of something you want to last for any length of time!

Lovely. A few of the links are page not found bty. Also how can I get the "stick" for the stamps or do they come with each stamp?

Do you have any tips for how to store your pre-made seals?
I just throw them into fabric bags. Nothing fancy here, hah! But I can explore more “advanced” storage methods if you need something like that

As long as you used a good quality wax and they don’t get hot enough to re-melt (it would have to get very hot!), then you should be fine ❤️
Can you melt wax in an ordinary spoon?
Yes! Make sure it’s a solid metal so that it doesn’t melt itself, hah! Otherwise it should be fine. I used a metal teaspoon for several years before I finally purchased my melting spoon
Nostalgic Impressions has affordable wax seal spoons. I have the small & large one. I recommend the large one!
