If you watch the forgotten weapons video on melty guns, that’s due to the polymer dual optic on the polymer receiver. Too much flex and shooting long strings of fire undo all the zero work for the red dot and the 3x optic. A lot of people that were issued the g36 ended up forgoing that rail for a traditional 1913 rail made out of metal for consistent and accurate groupings. The dual optic was a feature that was ahead of its time but in practice poorly implemented
@mc-sillix961 I think it's more political then technically. If it was a real issue you would have heard more from other user countries like Arabia running Into that issue. The independent test by RUAG only the mg36 and hk 417 surpassed it in consistent fire performance und heat.

The spanish army did extensive testing,after all that BS in Germany (btw.HK won a lawsuit against the german ministry of defence and got a hefty sum as reparation) and the rifle passed all tests. The spanish army uses a version,manufactured under licence in Spain btw. and it´s their main service rifle. The G36 was or is currently in service,by over a dozen militaries & law enforcement units around the world.No isses have been reported by any of them. Apparantly only the Bundeswehr (who is a joke of an army) had problems with it.You can even find videos with stress-tests here on youtube with the G36. Also,the idiots who claim that an AK is not reliable,clearly have no clue what they´re talking about. The AKM is the most used rifle in Third World conflicts for a reason.I rather take a russian AKM,that is properly maintained into a battlezone than any of your puny american AR variants. Hell,the newer AK-12 and AK-15 are even better.

Canadian law limits centerfire rifle caliber magazines to 5 rounds. Mags are usually pinned with a rivet, sometimes crimped.
