As far as that gorgeous fabric you showed us-the cotton voile (one of my favorite fabrics)-I couldn't quite catch the name of the second jumpsuit-it has the beautiful floaty legs-but I think that would be stunning in that fabrication!! :+)

The blue dress and the new fabric are both gorgeous! Your blue dress looks great. I love Style Arc's designs but I'm always anxious when sewing them. The instructions are awful (online tutorials and sew alongs have helped me tremendously) and I'm always concerned about what kind of fit I'm going to get. Though, all the ones I've made have been fine in the end. I'm also on the busty side and I find all of their v-neck design's I've sewn to be waaay too low for my taste. Looking forward to seeing what you make with your new fabric!

Your dress is stunning!!! I would never have thought to make this pattern due to it being fitted and I don’t have a thin waist line anymore . It looks amazing on everyone. What a great idea showing everyone wearing it. Thanks for a great video and enjoy the wedding!
My waist has thickened and I find I struggle with what used to suit me to what does now, this has given me shape but the shirring makes all the difference x

Well what a lovely dress! I can’t believe I’m saying that because I really don’t like style arc. Your dress, however, is stunning. I’m glad there is a video available as that will help. I’m so tempted to make it. I think you’ve done a great job. The last fabric you bought might look great in a peony dress. I find that is a great silhouette and I can’t remember if you’ve made it.
Bec you are a clever lady. Those buttons are perfect for your gorgeous Belle dress. The length is great too, I never thought of this dress shorter but as I haven't made it yet, time will tell. I think I'll go for the longer length on me though as I'm much taller. I think the voile would make a great jumpsuit and the suggestions you've given are difficult to choose from. You'll have to toss a coin I think. We had no power here for a couple of hours but thankfully it has returned because today is a cooler day and I did want to very much get some sewing done. I have shorts, a shell top, two swimsuits and the Tommie jeans skirt to finish making and a top to just do the buttons for but of course it's too much for one day so I'll stretch it out of the very hot weekend we have forecast. I'm thinking ahead to Autumn as I go in for my hip replacement surgery on the 20th March and want to get quite a bit of my Autumn capsule wardrobe made before then. I have just purchased the new Closet Core Jenna shirt pattern which will be perfect for three pieces of fabric in my stash earmarked for shirt making and I might make a dress also. But after the current projects that require my attention. We have a tendency to be carried away with inspiration when new ideas have entertained our attention but I have made a pact with myself to not leave any project behind this year and to finish them as I go. I'm looking forward to seeing more Belle dresses in your makes videos. It's a dress pattern that I own but haven't yet made but it is on my make 9 for this year so later on in the year I'll get to make one.
You have a few projects going on - I would definitely pick one of them to sew up, the maybe treat yourself to sewing the Jenna and then go back to one of your projects. How long will the surgery put you out of action for sewing? Honestly, I love the Belle dress and recommend it as a good sew x

All I know is that I won't be able to bend to more than a 90 degree angle for 12 weeks and I'll have to sit on a wedge cushion and straight backed chair because of it - no recliner to watch telly☹. I was expecting the nurse to go through all the after care information with me on Wednesday when I did my pre admissions appointment but she didn't. Lifting might be a challenge especially heavy machines so my kids will be enlisted to help. I have to be careful to not twist - all to do with the risk of dislocation. My actual sewing area is a fair walk from the main house so I'm intending to be able to get down there within two weeks by walking someone could drive me down in the little buggy (side by side) we have in the meantime. My machines are currently on the kitchen table at the moment though because the sewing space is not air conditioned and it's been too hot to work without it. I can drive after three to four weeks provided I'm off the heavy medication. It is less painful than knees apparently and the rate of success is high but because it is a joint I have to be mindful of my movements. to avoid dislocation for 12 weeks. Standing to cut things out wouldn't be a drama but I will need a chair with arm rests at the sewing table and I currently don't have one - I do need a new sewing chair regardless so it might be a great excuse to splurge on a decent one. So in answering your question, it depends on how I go. Three days in hospital and rehab will see me right and I know that I'll be able to walk the distance to the sewing area not long after that - I've been told I'll feel so good afterward I'll run the risk of doing too much😂 Never too much sewing though.😂.
The Belle is an absolute stunner on you. That’s one of my favourite makes of yours. On a completely separate note, do you happen to make apple shaped buttons? I want to make a top/blouse in royal blue or navy with red apple buttons or earrings to wear with a gold skirt/culottes so I can Disney-bound as Snow White when I go to Disney World next month.
