I remember playing soccer on Saturdays also. Having to miss the cartoons was a bummer, but I always made it back in time for WWF wrestling!
I used to watch Muppet Babies and Garfield and Friends growing up
Oh yeah, I remember when they had Family Matters do the preview for the new cartoons (on YT as "Saturday Morning Cartoons previews with Family Matters Carl Winslow Laura Steve Urkel MC hammerman")
Wish I had more time to re-watch old favorites...
@@jd213_ great stuff man, I loved it when our favorite sitcom actors promoted our favorite cartoons!
I was more of an '90s kid as I was born in late 1986, but alot of these cartoons were either still on, like The Real Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or were on in reruns when I was a kid. So I saw things like Alvin & The Chipmunks, Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Pee Wee's Playhouse, My Pet Monster, Muppet Babies, Beetlejuice and Ewoks all the time. One of my favourite '80s cartoons though was The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin. I had a few of the VHS tapes growing up, I have the complete series on DVD. It was great. Being from Canada things were slightly different too, as many of those cartoons were split (very unevenly) between two channels, Global TV and CTV (Canadian Television). Funny thing is though I never saw The Wuzzles, but I did have a few of the books and some of the toys.
Very cool! Yeah the feel of the late 80s definitely continued into the 90s. That Teddy Ruxpin cartoon is great, so nostalgic, with a great theme song. I have a DVD and a couple of tapes. Simpler times!!
@@TheCassettePhase Much simpler times. The Teddy Ruxpin show was produced here in Ottawa, though the studio it was produced in no longer exists. I saw the Teddy Ruxpin tapes you have in your "I turned my closet into a Mini Blockbuster" video and I smiled because one of them that you have, "Guests of the Grunges" was the first Teddy Ruxpin VHS tape I ever got and I got it for my third birthday in 1989.
@@tgif1345 that’s awesome man, thanks for sharing, and for watching! 🙌🏻
@@TheCassettePhase Your welcome man!
I still have a Shirt Tales color book I had as a kid. I have one animated Ewoks VHS tape. I haven't watched it yet. Strange since I've had it a long time. I remember a cartoon called, The Littles. It was cute. I also watched, Looney Toons and Merrie Melodies.
I remember the Littles! And I still enjoy Looney Toons.
As a 96 baby 80s and 90s nostalgia is in my blood
@@Elizabethmaloney96 very cool, welcome!
@@TheCassettePhase back to the future is my favorite movie
All this video is doing is depressing me. I miss those days.
Reminiscing can be like that sometimes! But for me, it makes me happy.
I wish it made me happy. Maybe if my life turned out differently it would. Right now it sucks, no offense to the video btw.
@@LUCKO2022 no offense taken. Stay strong!
Gosh I remember playing soccer on Saturdays and missing cartoons. I always made it back in time for WWF wrestling at noon!
@@stingray7849 so many of us played soccer in the 80s! I’m glad you made it back in time for wrestling though!
