I agree with the review In general, but I thought the Riverbend I got was more of a medium fast than fast so I returned it. I much prefer the even cheaper Aventik European Trout master rod which is lighter and is a truly fast model. I hope you will review that one because to me it is a step up and aneven better "bang for the buck". JMO Keep up the good work you have a great channel!

Ive been looking for a cheap, decent rod for smallmouth, I might pick one of these up.
I am fishing , 10’x4wt and 10’ x3wt so not sure what I would do with an 8.5 x5wt which I retired years ago.
This Riverbend 8’6” 5wt weighs 3.6 Oz not 3.2 Oz. Aventik got it wrongly positioned in the rod chart with Riverbend 9034.
