Goddamn man, just getting into blazeblue, want wanna get serious as someone that never really played fighting games. This is both intimating and impressive as hell. It's gonna be a rough journey.
BlazBlue is an incredible decision to start with. I don't want to discourage you if this is the way you want to do things, but I highly recommend games like guilty gear strive or dbfz to teach you the very basics of the genre. They're also still not even close to easy compared to normal video game standards
Yo, I started playing fighting games recently and with BBCF, too. It's definitely very intimidating, but I assure you, you improve very quickly as long as you fight good players. Finding a character that clicks is also important

(Mainly due to other life circumstances) But I'm committed to this. It's funny you say GG. Played it, practised it, then bought BBCF a few weeks later and don't feel like playing GG much anymore. I appreciate the warning, but I'm ready and willing to put in the hours.
@@SumThingFawful its fun playing BBCF, even you just new to FGC you can just jump into the game and learn the fundemental on tutorial mode, for newcomer you can try es, ragna, jin, mai, susanoo

Mained Hazama in CS, never bothered again after the Devouring Fang combo lines got gutted. I "know" a lot of his stuff still works, and the new lines are often better, but I'm too old to learn the character again and the cartoon ass 40 super build bnbs were too much to give up. These videos for me are "oh this looks fancy oh this part I REMEMBE-wait no, it's different haha fuck why is it so rad". Sad divorcee vibes.
Hazamas are allways so scary man... They have verry big brains copared to us the Susan players... Even when non of that matters when you relentlessly 6B them to death.

Hazama was my main all the way back in Central fiction. But damn, it always makes me sad looking at his damage out put compared to others in the roster
So... I main Hazama, have done since his introduction in BBCS. Aside from literally original BBCS where he could full combo his scoop off of a sweep, he's literally never had as reliable damage as he does in BBCF2. Sure, his damage with loops in BBCS2 and EX was great, but this was in a version of the game where every other character could do just as much if not more damage with half the effort into better oki. Ragna's 6k restand combos spring to mind (I also played a lot of Ragna in that game). Not trying to throw any shade here... but Hazama more than most of the cast due to microdashes can reliably reach over 3k from most stray hits in this game, which ups to 4-5k with Houtenjin. And as another reply mentioned, not only are his counterhits incredibly easy to confirm, they ALSO lead to 4-5k for free. Combine that with a faster chain recharge time and one of the most broken overdrives in the game for mixup/resets and he's never been stronger in terms of his damage potential. It's possible off of a counterhit with overdrive to literally 100-0 on 2 50/50 resets now.

Man, I hate seeing this micheal jackson impersonating fedora lord, his neutral is weird to fight against NGL. You can intercept him but hazama has ways to cha cha around you trying to bop him. Also his mix up is ???????? stance makes me :(

He has one of the most stable damage in the game, and is a counter monster. Any good counter is between 3k-7k.... Depending on resources.
