If I'm not utterly mistaken, the creator of "The X-Files" said being parodied on The Simpsons was the greatest honor his show could have possibly received.
I'm Argentinian, and I always listen any series in their original language. But in this case, the Mexican spanish dub is just spot on, way better than the US. Here the jokes are the center, but the voices the put on were just icing on the cake, they made me laugh just hearing them.

But I like the fact that this Episode is a parody of the X Files, plus there are a ton of Pop Culture references (Steve Urkel, The Shining, Shamu/Sea World, Star Wars, Star Trek, Alf, Looney Tunes etc.) And a random Cameo by Lenoard Nimoy, but it dosent seem bloated. Its Freshly and cleverly written throughout the Episode. I miss stuff like that

Sorry I'm a bit late responding to this, but I have to say that some of those three hundred and forty seven years would have been before the smoking man was in the lie detector scene, and therefore you could have been excused for not knowing during that period. After the smoking man appeared in the lie detector scene, of course, you would have had no excuse.
I remember the first time I saw this episode. Bought my Dad a Simpsons video for Father's Day and this was the first episode on there. We'd never seen it and were all pissing ourselves laughing.

He killed a few people and then chopped them up and was sending body parts to government officials, I can't remember what the point he was trying to make was but it made on hell of a headline
