I must be imagining but didn't Mcagic use dragons through Kitsune hence when Jay3 switches to Junkrat no one is using it and Kitsune finishes before anyone could use it? It will just get wasted cause the Blue Team Lucio had beat anyway. They were for sure not wining that fight no matter what.
To be fair, the console supports looked about the same level as the dps
I love this series as a concept. Definitely shows how good that top console team was to take even one map.

I'm interested to see a bronze vs bronze match. In a game where nobody can aim I expect console's aim assist to give them an edge.

I really doubt that. AA actually makes more of a difference at higher skill levels.
Nah bronze players don't have optimized settings so the aim assist works against them.

Aim assist needs fine tuned to actually help, something most bronze players probably don't do. If you lock onto an invisible box around people, it's still going to throw off your aim
2:08 Seeing the console Ramattra immediately ult after getting nano’d hurt. He should’ve went Nemesis Form first to weaken them, cancelled when either his armor went away or wait until said ability is over, then ult so he gets his armor back. That way he stays alive longer, and get more use out of his ult. THINK CONSOLE RAMATTRA THINK!!!
ive seen plat pc ramattras do this mistake too. plat is such a wide division that u can encounter a lot of skill variation between people. chill pc player lol
oddly enough I'm right around this rank on both XBOX and PC. from my experience the game sense is basically identical between the platforms but pc aim starts to overtake console aim around this rank and it becomes a very different game between the 2 platforms. very different heros are more/less common because of the aim differences

I disagree with this i was a low diamond on console and played console my whole life and swapped too pc when overwatch 2 came out, ive been playing on pc for about a year im only gold but i tried some matches on console the other day and my plat matches literally felt like bronze pc matches lol its honestly sad

To be fair when I said focusing heals on the turret it’s because I saw both the mercy and Ana in the corner with the turret and the torb healing his turret my brain just mushed it together

I kinda felt like this was expected somewhat in the console vs pc game with the pro teams, you found the best console team in the world to go against a good contenders team, not discrediting wisp or the console team but the fact a contenders team can beat the best console team in the world which in the pc equivalent would be a team like shock is enough to convince me to realize pc and console ranks just are not close, still interesting to see them put to the test with this match.
It's like 400-500sr diff imo. Tho in the SVB gm console vs Pc one the console team managed to beat the gm PC team.
Not for lack of skill tho. The pro PC crowd just has more ability to focus on the path to pro. I remember trying out for teams console. Good luck finding anything even worth looking into on console.
No, you are wrong. The Console Gamers are just as much understanding as the PC players. The only difference is PC makes bad people look good and is very user friendly. Console is where you have to have good aim, where you have to be good.

It was extremely hard to watch the orisa waste ult and later get nanoed while having fortify and decide to back away instead of pushing up to pressure squishys
I wanted to scream at my phone saying "ORISA PUSH!!" bc she exactly she had a free fortify & nanoed yet backed up instead
They need to play higher level comp more. The Iq need improvement since the prob just dominate as a team
The thing is with singular matches it is hard to tell if the input is what made the difference. Every rank has games where you get rolled and games where you roll the other team, no matter what you are playing on or what rank you’re in.
That's with randoms on ladder, it's a different thing altogether when you're playing semi organized stuff like this. Get involved with some and see. The input is definitely the deciding factor here

Every person from his discord has gone to the extra effort to watch videos about the game, to join a community for the game, and that already means they are actively trying to play well. That's better than 90% of randoms, who just play and turn off and never look at how to play overwatch objectively well. And if you put all of those kinds of people together on a team and they are using comms and trying, it's a completely different animal than ladder.
As a console player i can tell you the average player is each rank prob until diamond+ is signifigantly worse than a PC player, like i be in a gold match and have a teammate struggling to get more than 2k damage on dps. Positioning and game sense are things that console players dont have to use until the later ranks because alot of them can be carried by aim assist or just mechanical skill. So I think that the console players are being punished for things they normally wouldnt be punished for in these ranks.
An addition to this, the console players don't appear to have any aim assist so they prob arn't used to this kind of aiming.
Tf u talking about aim assist,if ur aim assist helps u win every 1v1,there is no way geting higher,cus its not warzone2, where u win 1v1 and thats it. If your team sucks, you would win at least 1 out of 5 games. Aim assist is legit no help in ow

Technically, we can apply this logic to PC players. Even if we don't have the aim assist, a player with a very good mechanical skill can brute force his way to plat or diamond
"carried by aim assist" are u rlly on console or just a salty pc player? aim assist do helps cause pinpointing stuff with a mouse is far easier than having to move the scope with a joystick and predict where the enemy heads will be on screen. but even though it helps it cant match the accuracy, fluidity and precision of a mouse. thats one of the reasons the pc dps were superior to the console ones. u are contradicting urself
This is rough. I don't actually think the difference between the two teams is as pronounced as it looked, it was just that one of the PC players was clearly a step above the rest of the lobby and one of the console players was a step below. Sometimes that's all it takes to turn an even game into a total sweep, especially when the diff is in the DPS role.
the diff wasn't that the widow was good. it was a team diff. the console dps tried to out-aim someone on PC. play sombra or bastion. have the tank go winston or doomfist. can your supports go rush? brig, mercy, luc. it's easy and they just didn't.
there's a clear difference between PC and console, and it's options.
console doesn't run widow/cass/hanzo/ashe for a reason. the best console team went tracer for a reason.
Actually the diff was on the tank role. The console tank played very timidly and didn't properly punish the various times they had the advantage on the PC team. The dps diff only looked like that because they were given free reign.
@@raradapapa the console soldier 76 single handedly threw almost every game. U cant blame a team if one of the dps is just use less.

@@santiagogalf How do you see the soldier misplay but completely miss the tank not taking space when the opportunity showed itself as a diamond tank player? Watch again. The tank on Orisa had several elim opportunities too and didn't really take advantage of them which made the dps look much worse since they had no space to work with.

yea this honestly highlights how crazy that console team was for having those close games with pc in lower ranks it’s just a slaughter.
i think for a video idea you guys should do a match where like (Master Players for example) who are only one tricks play a different role. So one trick dps players play like healers, healers play dps and the tank could play whichever

great vid!! i wish most games went this way. it's close and good comms and such. When you play reg in the game solo queuing, its a crap shoot. either you dominate or get dominated. it's so unrewarding

i feel like i should say this, on console, you can just plug in a keyboard into your console and whenever you try to type, you can use the keyboard, it's much easier and faster to type but you will people assuming you are ximming so that's the one issue but it's helpful using a keyboard to type faster
@@willmcclard206 no that's not how that works since you aren't using a xim or Cronus. You're just typing to communicate and even then Blizzard doesn't give af about console so you won't get banned for anything
@@willmcclard206 you won't get banned, as long as like you don't buy like a xim, then again blizzard hasn't even banned ximmers on console so, i've had a keyboard plugged into my console ever since crossplay was a thing to type in overwatch chat, and i haven't gotten banned yet

@@willmcclard206 that's not at all how it works. You need a special adapter to simulate a controller with the mouse and keyboard to use it for gameplay. Plugging in a keyboard only allows you to type in chat and navigate the xbox software UNLESS the developer allows mnk which Overwatch does NOT.
i was top 500 season 2-3 of overwatch 1, when i told my pc friends they would ask if im top 500 on console or pc, i replied with console and then they would always say oh so your plat on pc, id then try and defend myself and tell them they are wrong. i took a break from overwatch for 3 years. came back recently and played competitive on pc with a controller. Im stuck in Plat 3. im just having some skill issues right now. that being said id like to see Console Masters vs PC master ranks, of all the ranks i was in which was all masters was my favorite
Controller on PC is a lot different from Controller on Console. Also the average overwatch player has gotten better so top 500 in season 1 looks a lot different from season 31.
Don't be discouraged, you may have a mechanical disadvantage using Controller on PC so I'd recommend learning M&K, but gamesense does transfer and I've seen plenty of Console players climb even higher on PC once they learn the equipment. Or nothing wrong with staying Console, they are both top500 and neither is inherently better than the other

The first console attack hsd sombra EMP, kiriko ult and visor. But switched off sombra and didnt combo the visor kitsune. Then they switched to orisa which usually gets beat by ramattra. Is console just a leage below pc?
Love these so entertaining 😄.. idea for future ones could you do something like gold console vs gold pc.. winner plays plat (e.g. gold pc wins plays plat console) if console plat wins they have to play catch up so play plat pc (if gold pc wins they move to diamond which means console diamond would have to beat gold, plat and diamond) the winner moves to diamond etc.. First type to win againt masters wins?

I haven’t watched it yet but as a console player I think the top teams from both is going to be your closest matchup. The ladder skill difference is insane between pc and console of the same rank, like I can see a gold pc player evenly matched with a plat or maybe even diamond console player
I think from watching these videos, at the higher level surprisingly the gap between pc and console seems smaller and larger in these mid tiers. I wonder if it would make for an interesting video to do for example plat console vs gold pc or something along the lines.
And this is why Xim is so rampant on console and most people in GM and Top500 use it. MnK is just a straight up better input even with the delay they get on console because they not only keep aim assist but also get scripts that give 0 recoil and its still inferior to actual PC MnK. Yet our aim assist by most is considered unfair because its strong in games like Apex where the Aim assist can basically hold your hand. But Overwatch already had notoriously bad aim assist in OW1 and when they changed the UI they changed the aim assist as well making it worse and screwing over everyones muscle memory. Hell even since OW2 launch Baptiste immortality field literally makes it impossible to aim and will pull your crosshair towards it when ever it is deployed. Yet since its console Blizzard treats it like 2nd class citizens and doesn't(or rarely) acknowledge any problems on our platform

I think you have legacy AA settings on. Not sure but I believe the old one used to pull on structures which is the issue you're describing with the lamp.

Diamonds are much better than most plat PC teams I've seen. This game isn't really indicative of plat strength. They played like a 2500-2600 team under the old system.

@@GaussianEntity you guys arent really understanding the effects enemy team has on people. real life sports work the same way. plat consoles were playing so bad here because they're playing against much better players. the average nba player (plat console) going against lebron james (plat pc) gets destroyed and misses wide open shots. the average nba player (plat console) going against a park basketball player (bronze pc) will absolutely dominate and not miss any shots even contested.
You should link up with SVB. Do the best console team from your community vs the best console team from his for one video. Video two you can do the same for PC and video three best Console vs best PC. You could even do try-out videos leading up to it.
do a plat console team vs a gold pc team (or diamond console vs plat pc) to see if the skill difference can carry an entire division gap

this really shows how little aim assist matters until VERY HIGH RANK or VERY LOW RANK
aim assist do matters but isnt enough to match mouse n keyboard. If u disable aim assist u would instantly notice how u are seemingly missing 90% of ur shots no matter the rank.

I feel like Plat has a lot of variability. I used to coach Plat teams and these kind of rolls are not uncommon at this rank.
Edit: would love to see a tournament of both console and pc teams and maybe mixed teams.

I believe it has 30% of the player base now, which is more than gold. So if someone's at bottom plat and someone else is at upper plat, that is a potential difference of ~28%. That is pretty big.

me and my console team id say are about diamonds altogether, and this was hard to watch, the console team was struggling so much but didnt know how to focus healers or use curtain hero's to their advantage. plus as a plat console healer, i never walk straight coming out of spawn incase of random spawn snipes...i think overall this was a dps diff/ team diff

How about same match, but console settings are locked on the same fov and same fps for both pc and console.
How you get people for these things ?
Plat is where a shift is found in ranks where they want to do strategy but haven't gotten used to it yet and fall into the pit of only partially following league strats and falling back on gold habits. So you either win cause you took a risk here or there or you get rolled because you held back too much or waited too long.

Can you do GM console players vs every pc rank and each time they win they go up a rank and see where they stop
Dude. In about a hundred games that I’ve played in comp. I’ve gotten 2 people who communicated with the team. Hell is real and I’m stuck in it.
for reals, I only solo queued for the longest time bc my friends don't play overwatch, but probably 1 out of 20 games you'll have someone use the comms. I've played a lot of games where there's people in the voice chat but they don't say anything until the game is lost and all they do is burst in anger about how much everyone sucks. eventually I found a group of people that use comms and now i never solo queue.

i expected this i mean pc players just have a way easier time moving aiming and everything else not to mention key binds and access to stuff we didn't know existed cause they have enough buttons to use it or console just doesn't have it in options but whether they were on xbox or playstation this makes us look bad
