Hi you. Wow. Wow. Wow. Thank you so much for recommending the Serious Reader light. I had a detached retina 5 years ago (I was then 58) followed by 2 cataract ops. Instantly stopped me sewing, cross-stitching, anything really. I’ve spent £100’s trying everything craft lights and magnifying but nothing worked. I got it today. Absolutely fantastic. The quality of the light and how easy to position exactly where I need it. Probably not the right place as this sounds like a review!!! However, I just needed to say thanks to you. You are honest and trustworthy with your reviews. Xxx (Ps. Got the Nuface mini too, but gave it to hubby so I’d have something to open on Xmas day. 🤣😂 )

Hi Helen, funnily enough when I was out with the girls for lunch, the other day, one of them told us she was in a hardware shop in the north east looking for a hotel type bedroom light to use when reading in bed, so as not to disturb her husband. Will let her know about the Serious Light. Your bedroom is beautiful and love the dark back wall with the lighter walls. Rob is great at decorating (as is my husband). It has been known to paint or paper a wall, only to change it within hours😂 and you are very talented with your cushions and blind making too.🏴xx

Hi Helen, the serious light looks a great bit of kit and perfect for this time of year when we spend longer darker hours. Crafting, knitting, sewing, possibilities are endless. Did not know the tip for the Valspa paint, I have two tins in our shed that just did not look right on the walls but looked great in B&Q!!! Bedroom looks beautiful and perhaps Rob has a tip to paint fantastic straight lines….Thanks Helen have a great . Take care xx

Helen, I have a serious light and it is fabulous. My eyesight isn’t brilliant and I use this light to read. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Your bedroom is lovely Helen. Love Roman blinds. Very elegant. We've our own version of Rob painting our whole apartment this week and we've cleared off to Portugal! Mind you our place would probably fit in your hall... Nearly cancelled holiday because I'd a health scare last week but hospital doc ran tests and chest xray which came back clear and he advised sea air would be good. So here I am still enjoying your videos. Isn't technology wonderful? 😀 Hope you do show us how to make a Roman blind. That would be interesting. X

Do you know that you can take your fabric into B&Q and they will colour match.your fabric to paint (valspar). I took my duvet cover in blush pink in and they computer matched my paint for a feature wall.

I always use Valspar. The white is great for ceilings stays white for longer

I have just bought a Serious Light as I am a sewer. It is a game changer, would not be without it.
Painted my bedroom also with a dark colored wall behind the bed.Mine is definitely a green,but a blue green,and a beige on the other walls,as I live in an apartment in NY there are not to many rooms,so the living room is 2 or 3 shades darker off the same color strip,with off white trim,Benjamin Moore paints.Love the colors you have chosen,and I need that light,it’s getting difficult in my old age..

I love that color behind your bed. I do have most of our home done in the same color expect for the foyer and kitchen. They are barn red, but after almost 20 years, they are going to be painted a green. I do enjoy bold colors with a tan in the remainder of the house.

I would like to compliment you on your interior design skills, colours, fabrics, accessories etc etc - beautiful. I have just discovered (from a sample sachet given to me in the pharmacy) GLISS overnight elixir. You, sparingly, apply it into your hair before bed. It works overnight and does not stain your pillow at all. Wow, my hair is transformed. Thought I would share. x
