    Wow... what an absolute monster of a review. It appeared rehearsed and read off with a teleprompter (a very positive thing, not a negative comment) with absolute solid logical opinion through all whilst supplemented with great editing techniques with graphs shown where applicable and panning in/ out effects when the subject changes on the laptop.
    You have done HU a real justice such a comprehensive and well executed video review of this laptop. Great presenting, topics covered and lots of objectivity and solid opinion.
    Thumbs up and thanks!

      This dude doesn't typically do a whole lot of their overall content, but he's always insightful when he does. I remember watching him do a monitor review a while back, which I wouldn't normally watch but I did because he really went in to quite a lot of detail in the variances between techs and stuff from the offset. Ended up watching the whole thing and remembering the dude.

    I think you should've shown the graphics score for the graphics test because the total score is skewed with the CPU physics test which obviously has more performance with 4 cores. The graphics performance really hasn't changed.

    Still can't believe how long its taken Intel to get mobile quad cores to the mainstream - AMD was already releasing mobile quad cores as mainstream CPU back in 2010/11 (4 true cores not CMT).

    • @dj_trancelucent5487
      @dj_trancelucent5487 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dabombinable Mi yeah with IPC from the Jurassic period!

      Dabombinable Mi Wut? Doesn't i7 Mobile has been 4 core 8 threads for a long time?
      Only i5 Mobile had been using 2 core 4 threads?

    • @dj_trancelucent5487
      @dj_trancelucent5487 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      KevinMulia Oh dear me, you need to realise that there is far more to a processors performance than just core count. Its ok putting 4 cores or 8 cores but that doesnt automatically mean it's better or faster. AMD have always been a long way behind.
      Each core has has an IPC (Instructions Per Clock) and generates heat under load. A processor can have such slow cores (Low IPC) that another processor with half as many cores can complete more than twice the instructions per clock cycle than the one with twice the cores, this makes the one with less cores technically the faster chip. AMD chips have always been pushed to compete, factory clocked to do more than they really should in order to close the performance gap on intel. This push has meant they have boosted core speed (default stock clocks) to compensate for their cores poor performance compared to Intel's, and in order to do this, requires more voltage/power/TDP and more power automatically results in more heat and less battery life!
      Amds answer to Intel has always been that if they can't compete on a performance level, then they simply offer more of whats worse for the same money....a bit like Intel making a Ferrari, Amd can't so offer 4 Skodas for the same money, tune them to make them run faster than they really should do to try to close the performance gap so that it isnt as obvious and they can still remain in marketshare.
      The heat caused by AMDs mobile chips has always caused issues with BGA integrated graphics on the motherboards, theyve created so much heat that nearby graphics chips (Nvidia etc) have overheated to the extent that their unleaded solder joints have melted and cooled so many times that its become brittle and broke away from the board....this results in no display on your laptop and AMD laptops were renowned for this issue (especially in HP laptops where their fan/heatsink/thermal displacement designs were poor).
      Intel have had superior performing core/clocks and IPC over anything AMD for about a decade or more. Their true hyperthreading has also hurt Amd and they've been miles away!
      The only thing Amd has done well in the mobile department has been to implement some of their own graphics tech into the same chip as the processing cores. Other than that, theyve been a million miles away and thats why an Amd laptop will typically cost far less than an intel one. The only other positives for Amd in the processor market is that theyve recently and finally released something half decent for the first time in a decade with their Ryzen chips...its still a year or 2 behind intel in terms of core performance/IPC and they're still having to to resort to adding more slower cores technique to compete, but its a big jump/improvement on their older IPC that the performance gap is now much, much smaller and so much so that it really does compete for once.

    • @dj_trancelucent5487
      @dj_trancelucent5487 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      KevinMulia also, just to add that since Intel's 6th gen Skylake, some i5 processors have very much had 4 cores also, intel hyperthreading and IPC have been far superior to anything Amd has.
      To put where AMD are now (with their best)...Intels latest Coffee Lake processors and their superior cores typically do more or the same performance with 6 cores compared to AMDs 8! They dont need to add cores however you can guess what Amds answer to this was cant you? Yeah thats right... glue 2x 8 cores together and make the chip the size of a motherboard itself and sell what is essentially 2x slower 8 cores as 1x 16 core chip....great if you multitask or need 16 cores for 16 instructions (even if the program you use was developed to even see/use those cores) but personally i prefer pure performance in speed over quantity of cores....

    • @raresmacovei8382

    So if you look at office Laptop and note gaming for the last 2-4 years intel was selling 2 cores =)))
