Excellent blog Olly, fancy you getting called to the Houses of Parliament 😮😮 at last they’ve decided to get someone in with some common sense!! Watch out Olly it could become a weekly trip!! Go Olly Go!! - Vote Olly.😊😊😊🚜. Cheer up Ian!! The birthday bumper king! 😊
I pity your situation. The draining jobs were a part of winter work many years ago, but then they didn't have such heavy machines panning the soil down. Did you try to clear the blocked clay pie to see if anything came out?
You need to get yourself a tractor mounted water blaster to jet those clay pipes. Makes a huge difference here in southland nz. You could go halves with Tom pem as he looks like he could use one as well.
Good day. Dialysis went well, I then got an ECG which took about 15 minutes including waiting for porters to take me from Renal to Cardiology and back so maybe 120% (I start at 100% for OK, add points for good stuff and take them off if there is bad stuff.) Dinner out, so no cooking, 6 yellow cars, 3 orange and red lorry, yellow lorry.
My OH often uses the ibc cages for hay for the horses. Tends to be less dusty crammed in a cage than if it’s in a bale. Just stack them up and get them down as you want them for hay nets.
Clean up the axle clamp parts real good, wire brush or better. We brake two or the of those axles a year on row crop work, we have 24” extensions on the end of the axles.
Perhaps you could of put the main 3 or 4 meters further away from the hedge then you could have used a mole plough dropping it in at the hedge side and going at 90 degrees or any other angle. The extra distance of the main being away from the hedge would allow the mole to get to depth and into the gravel and work properly.
Hi Olly, nice to see you draining although it does look like your chain could do with tightening and the pipe box chute is high in relation to the tip of chain (should be level looking at your soil profile), love the videos
Power to your elbow Oli…. Keep up with the drainage… just shows that the EA and the Highway agency are in denile over keeping drainage channels clear….
Makes you realise how compacted some of the land is going to be that has been under water for a few months. Nothing like standing water for compacting soil
At last Olly your in parliament soon to become prime ministerYour draining will do a. Lot of good it’s. Good when you can do bits yourself your trencher is. a great machine it’s so costly is draining these days no wonder there’s little done Hope you enjoy London and I hope you can fly the flag for British Agriculture feeling 95% today another excellent video Olly
Great video olly as usual also think you may have caught through helicopter 🚁 if it was maroon in colour or possibly blue thunder (Sas) if it was blue couldn’t quite make out 😊
I honestly don’t know how you fit everything into your day sometimes Olly, you never seem to stop !! I’m very much like Kaleb when it comes to London/cities, I don’t like it……too many people 🙈 Definitely a country boy through and through.
Every night when I get out of the shower after long days the first video I watch is Olly, I've done it for so long it's like an instinct. 😂 you might want to take the plugs out so the fans dont submerged if the tubs get water in them for some reason

Any point on trying to flush out the old clay pipes?

The Standard Fordson had the same axle arrangement as the Deere back in 1917.. The model F and later N.

We have a system for adding water to grain it’s a series of power washer nozzles that spray over a open top auger as the grain passes through
Could you get the roads authority to check their drain under their road ??
Good luck with operation drain every wet bit on the farm.😊

Would you not be able to run a jetting machine down the old clay pipes? It may help with volume
Good Stuff ! You could still do the diagonal run with the herring bone ! 👍🏻

Does the newer John Deere axles not have a gear in the hub that side shifts like the older tractors hubs Olly

If only the quadtrack had a pto it would be ideal for the chain trenchers.

Try throwing some old coins in a trench then the local archaeology group will dig up the rest of the field for you.
