Lake Chabot is ideal for lakeside fishing and boating. The asphalt pathway along the lake offers a comfortable setting for strolling, jogging, and biking, making it a leisurely destination in the bustling area of East Bay. You can start from the Marina entrance, walk along the west shore to the dam, and reach Yema-Po (野馬坡), where approximately 800 Chinese laborers worked on the Chabot Dam and lived in a Chinese Labor Camp from 1874 to 1892. Excavations at this site revealed over 60,000 artifacts, including Chinese coins, opium box lids, pots, stoneware bowls, metal tools, and many others.
