I agree. Tired of hearing people talk poorly about the m3 pro. Coming from a 2019 16" Intel Mac, this will be a massive upgrade. May be an unpopular opinion but I'm happy to see the P cores and E cores balanced. Hoping that'll extend the battery life beyond what Apple claims.

I'm upgrading from a base model M1 Air. It did an amazing job getting me through the last couple years of my undergrad. My use case and work load have been changing since then. So I'm going to be getting this same base model M3 Pro, too, but with an upgraded 1TB hard drive. I'm super excited and ready to have a powerful computer that's going to last me for years, and maybe allow me to play some Baldur's Gate 3 on the side :)

Justify : My current setup :video &audio podcaster , video editing 2 -1 hour talk show pods , light photography & PS plus every now & then freelance work Current computers : for video editing n harsh tasks - in May 23’- Mac Studio m1 Max 64ram 1tb w/ssd For travel -lite wrk , audio editing n lite video editing - MBP 2018 i9 Touch Bar works fine getting a lil old bt 32gb ram 1tb. Should I get a decent speck air for travel since Mac studio is my heavy lifter ?? I buy computers every 5-6 yrs for reference

Yes. Look at it this way. You’ve had an intel Mac for so many years. Which means your ROI on a laptop is really great. You’re a smart guy and have always been quite smart with your spending which is evidenced by the fact that you’re still holding an intel Mac. So what you buy now, you’ll hold for several years so why not invest in the best at the moment? Furthermore, you’re in medicine, which means your laptop will indirectly help save lives. So why not give the best to help save lives even faster. And when you’ve done a hard days work, you deserve a good gaming solution and what better to service your needs than an all in one work and gaming machine. Hope I did well 😂
I actually think the opposite. I am thinking of getting the normal M3 for because of space grey. I know it sounds weird. I don't like space black in real life (looks better in videos) and the silver is more sensible towards (visible) corrosion. Hence, for me space grey is the best.

The lights over the table need a bit of boost or extra light for/from the left side. There is a noticeable difference in lighting. I am only mentioning this because of how much effort you put in this and I assume you wouldn't have a problem with me mentioning it. I unsubbed with my main account (Trusteft) and subbed with this one which is more relevant to the content for my own organization of channels I watch. 14vs16, tough choice, if I was to make one. I would use it as my main PC at home and not outside. I would want smaller footprint and I would use only external monitors. On the other hand there is a chance the larger has better thermals. Good video man, I like the editing and overall idea.

For me, the differences, the application, Vivid, it makes the display 50% brighter so I'm getting the 16 inch MacBook Pro

Beware that Max in 14" is not quite ideal. Might be loud as fuck. Personally I think Pro processor is better suitable for smaller chassis
