  • The Sonata in Bb Major, K 249, by Domenico Scarlatti, is an exuberant work that contains several dramatic moments including some very daring and dissonant chords which must have shocked and enthralled his audiences. The work is replete with striking virtuoso passage work and, together with some vibrant Spanish colouring, provides an exhilarating experience for both audience and performer (happily there are no hand-crossings!)
I hope you will enjoy it, and thank you as always for listening 🙂!

Olé ! Seriously, it's perfect, an excellent Scarlatti vibe. Reminds me of A.Tharaud when he plays Scarlatti. Bravo ! (And the thumb bug, but it should appear later).

      Hello Bumblebee 🐝!!
Thanks for your comment man, much appreciated. Tharaud is a great pianist - I studied his interpretation of the Poulenc piece from earlier (Le Chemins..) to see how he shaped it. He also plays "Concerto pour la fin d'un amour" which is based on themes from the movie "Un Homme qui me plaît" (I haven't watched it though)
