Allah swt gives understand to whomsoever He chooses. The science of Hifz was born to protect the script from being lost. Its miraculous that one can parakeet it without understanding it.❤
Hifz is one thing, but if you do not understand what you've learnt (in Arabic), it cannot enter your heart! This is why there are so many young people who have memorized that Qur'an and it has not changed them in character at all. They even end up in jail due to criminal activity. It's not just about memorization, it's about understanding.
the one who memorize it of course a lot better than the one that has no relationship at all with Qur'an. But I agree, understanding s on another level.
My 2 kids learning Quran they complete 30 n now in 29 juzz I force them each n every day at least one surah I listen 5 Ayat n this way Allhumduillah complete one full surah
It should be fard for memorising the quraan. My ustaad reads one quraan a day. I wish to reach this level. Our ustaadh has made the most hafiz in uk. Maybe world. He never said we were not capable. He never marked our mistakes. He never dated the sabak. He was the epitamy of the hadith. I was blessed. Whenever we visited his home he gave a special milk containing almonds and coconut.
I'm a woman by 45 years old. Now I want to memorize the holy Quran..... and I've memorized surah yasin, Ar Rahman, surah Mulk , naba and some of from first para . I want to ask something. I'm a working woman and my age is also a fact. Can I memorize the Al Quran? If I want to do this ..... will my age create any problem to memorize ? If Allah Grant my prayer to do that...... Can I continue it in this way? Can I get hifz?
You can memorise the Quran as long as you put your mind to this goal and work on it every single day even if it is only 1 ayah a day, because nothing is impossible for Allah swt ♥️ you can do it! Never give up 🤲🏽
HII SISTER, sorry for late reply, Yes I have heard a story of old lady , she even started reading Quran when she was 70, at 73 she completed all the quran (hifz)

memorizing with no understanding is 1000000X better than no memorization and no understanding. and Allah knows best.
Part of the gaining rewards as a Hafiz, is to learn and apply the quranic principles. Otherwise he isn't a proper Hafiz.

Consistency is the key. I have seen/heard many older people, some older than you reached their goal of memorising Al Quran!
