We think so also. The layout kind of offers everything. You could even enclose the cabin and add A/C, or heat for northern climates, if you wanted. All around great design.
@@shaynelhta Haaaa…lol! A lot of the law enforcement boats are Safe Boats and Lifeproof boats and they are all aluminum. They seem to do fine in warm water environments.
growing up fishing in Alaska, ive been on many Armstrong Catamarans, they definietly have the CAT figured out!. if i had a half a million lying around, i would buy a 34x12
Worked on a 32ft Armstrong cat out of Sitka Alaska. Nothing rides in bad weather like a cat. Most people just haven’t experienced the ride there second to none
Man, that is one sweet ride! I've been thinking about this boat ever since you did a video of it at ACI. This would be perfect in Eastern Canada or the Great Lakes in a "Cold Weather" version. Thanks Rob!
Hey thanks Duncan! It’d be so easy to enclose the back bulkhead on this boat and heat the cabin. I really like this new layout and these cats blow through chop and are so stable. Really nice ride!
One of these would kick ass over there! When we were in Maui last year an older Armstrong pulled in one day that has been a dive charter for years there. Still in great shape and working as it was intended.
This is close to what I spoke about in my comment to you a few months ago. I know you referred me to ACI about this, but if they could sexy up the profile and block bow it would be a sure winner. The aluminum's custom feature is awesome; it looks like this guy got what he wanted. I am in FL, so a warm weather version is what I need too. Do you know the weight of this one?
Very, very nice. What's the weight difference compared to the same thing but in glass? One detail I'm surprised they didn't do is the frame less windows. Would've added that extra bit of luxury.
That’s a good question. Not sure why the owner didn’t go that route. ACI is installing frameless glazed windows on most of their boats now. They look so sharp!!!
Shit this boat gets a hair better MPG than my World Cat 320 EC with Twin merc v8's. That's a hell of a hull! Would love to see this boat with some 400hp merc v10's
@@live2boat wow! Thanks so much! Pretty light for that size of boat? Did they say if it was dry weight or sea tested weight? I noticed in the video the tanks were a little less than half full.
That’s a good question. I haven’t heard anything that would indicate that they get struck more than fiberglass boats. I’ll run this by some of the aluminum boat builders we work with and see if I can come up with an answer.
Never fails the second I say something like that…LOL! Thanks for watching though. Definitely have never seen it here before but we might as well be on Mars out here in the NW 🤪
I live in Florida. This is my dream boat. I'm so glad to know it exists. As soon as I get the money, you'll be getting a call.
Dude is gonna crush it with that boat in Florida. Solid design, looks comfy, gets everything you need.
We think so also. The layout kind of offers everything. You could even enclose the cabin and add A/C, or heat for northern climates, if you wanted. All around great design.
It's weird to me more florida boaters don't have aluminum boats...especially seeing how much they run aground, lol.

My favorite boat ive worked on so far!
She’s a beauty!
Beautiful blend of function with style
Thanks for watching John 🙏

Right on Joseph! It’s the daily beatings running through chop that gets me in Alaska. These cats just sail right over it for a super smooth ride.

This boat is what we Austrians call an ‘Eierlegende Wollmilchsau’-it does it all! I love this boat, and maybe one day it will be mine.
@@andrejalexej4871 That’s a first! I need to practice saying that 😁👍

I agree Rob. Plus, your review was spot-on. Perfect video timing, speed and coverage. Thanks again.@@live2boat
I love the screens mounted like that for the sake of easily updating/replacing later.
love the boat, I would like to see more about the joystick control especially in docking situations.
That’s a great idea 👍
Would love to have one of these here on the Big Island. Seeing this in Florida definitely peeks my interest.

Do we have ballpark #s for an equivalent unit? North or south of $500k?

I think a little bit lighter than glass

I'd love to see the economy with a center foil
I saw this boat on sea trials in Port Townsend
Thanks for the tour. Don't tell the East Coast the benefits of aluminum hulls
Very nice
Cost?
Love your videos! Any idea on how much this cat weights dry?

what is coating is used below the waterline?
Not sure I’ll try to ask them 👍
Love the boat for SoCal, what is the price range for something like this ? 300K, 400K, 500K ?
I think the higher end of that price range. They are building a SICK 42 footer for San Diego right now. Give them a holler at 360-385-1203 if you can.
How is it going to be with all the lightning strikes down there? Any different than a fiberglass boat?

It’s a custom build. That’s a question for ACI methinks
No fish boxes?
Customer didn’t want them. Uses a cooler instead. Total possible though 👍
i want one with inboard diesel jets
That’d be a sweet setup. Email info@aciboats.com to see what’s possible
are you saying that the mid deck between the engines, is first on their boat? Nope, about 4 years late. But maybe first on an aluminum cat.

Is this foil assisted?
It is not foul assisted
What about electrolysis that everyone talks about? Aluminum boat in salt water?
Sacrificial anodes buddy. Tons of aluminum boats on the west coast. We own one also.
I wonder how much the boat cost just the way he set it up
@@georgeniebergall7074 No idea unfortunately. Custom build and we never got the numbers from ACI
500k I could have one like that too haha fuck me im so fucking poor even making 6 figures. Haha 😆 absolutely beautiful boat!

That is not dive ladder, thats just swimming ladder, dive ladder don't look like that

This boat is eco-friendly too. In about 50 years, the owner can sell it for recycle aluminum. 😵

That guy is too tall for the interior. Suppose it could be made taller.
I’m a tall drink of water at 6’6”. The owner had the height of the cabin cut down a bit, I kinda like it..makes the boat look more sleek and
