The yards = you add up three dice, and then multiple that sum by the number on the 4th dice.

Thanks Dave. Appreciate your sharing and videos. There are several other Downey Football Games, and it is difficult to contrast/compare without making a purchase (others include GridIron Wars, Mean Genes, Goals, Fast Action Football, etc.)

I do get some long TDs via the "doubles" roll rule. So, I really don't see a problem with too many short TDs. Just my opinion though.

Good job, Dave. I already have and enjoy FWD. Probably will try Momentum Football based on your video. Thanks!

at 6:52, maybe "hybrid" timing system from MO into GWD. I don't like the idea of 5 plays for each team; each half. I wouldn't even want to randomize each team by rolling a d4 or d6. It would give a team like '76 Bucs a chance over '76 Raiders. As far as long passes that are 10 yds. I would just leave out the stats. I know that would not sit well with stat keepers. Again, maybe roll a d10 and improvise with a chart so the d10 result isn't a "80 from the 40 yd. line. I am over-thinking it. I need to lie down. Thanks for making my wallet lighter. lol.

I noticed limited seasons for Momentum. I like the timing mechanism. I might get GWD. I wonder if I can incorporate the timing into GWD and eliminate the quarters or even better.....buy both games and use a "cafeteria plan".

Swinging back & forth like TB beating New O last night. Still on the fence re. GWD and MO. I think GWD is the baby brother to MO because you don't have to do the figuring beginning of the game. The charts on both sides of the chart is figured.
