The tip with the cross I's is going to help me. Wasn't sure on the rule fully, as no one ever really talked about it. Thanks a bunch for clearing that up.

I was wondering in one of your videos could you go over the proper steps to copyright a character and book ideas. Does emailing one self validate that, or even a screen shot of the established image date of creation? And where to go about of doing so?

Hey Sean, I have talked about this an number of times and I should probably do another video where I dive deeper into the topic when I wrap up this series. Basically your art is protected under copyright from the moment you create it. It helps to prove when you created it if you can publish it, even if it's just posting it online. That;s my basic answer, I can go into trademarks etc. on another video but I would urge you to watch this video, it's great advice: th-cam.com/video/hKKOgOx9Zx8/w-d-xo.html

I've been using the fonts from the Comic Maker tool kit and starter kit,I'll be checking out Blambot. I didn't know the freezer burn fonts came with speech bubbles, now I know!

Yeah I usually include custom word balloons in my font packs.

Never knew that about the crossbar I. Now I have to double check my stuff. Thanks or the tip!

That’s one of those things not a lot of people know about. But that almost Professional letterers will pick out right away.

@@ScottSerkland first page I checked had several instances of it. Ugh. Gotta check them all now.

Great video! As a fan of comics and someone whose grandpa worked with Ben Oda, I love lettering!
Funny comic sans story: Had to make a mini comic for an assignment once, and didn’t have access to any other fonts, but I DID know about the crossbar “I” distinction. My hack was to use the lowercase “L” for that. Time consuming, would NEVER recommend it, but it is there as an option. Professor didn’t notice.

Very cool and very resourceful using the lowercase "L" with Comic Sans.

Starting the thumbnails tommorow. Gonna dream tonight on it too. So many good thumbnail tutorials on TH-cam especially yours.😁

Try uploading videos on alternate days as it would be easy to watch without fomo
