The lesson for this week is clearly, always and I mean always, travel with your Fibre
I leave the house most days with something in my rucksack, but think I might need to leave a project in the boot of the car for all occasions! :)
Love the Christmas jumper! And glad you weren't hurt when the tyre blew. The doll looks great... Like you, little fiddly bits start to suck my life force!!
Yes thankfully the tyre was more frustrating than dangerous! I think we’re over the fiddly bits now fortunately! :)
Still think "she" is a wizard!!! Can see him with a long curly beard and pointy hat! Glad you weren't hurt when your tyre blew!!! And love your Christmas jumper!!
Thanks Jacky, more annoyance than anything else with the tyre!
A wizard will be a great twist! :)
Really enjoying your podcasts and Toft advent adventure Martyn. Imagine how proud you will be when your doll is finally revealed in all her glory. He/she is looking fabulous already. I'm so glad you are safe after the tyre incident. I have added yarn and a crochet hook to my first aid kit. 😊
Hey Joanne, yes I think an emergency project in the boot is definitely recommended!
Not long till the big reveal now, I can’t wait :)
Thumbs up that you came that far with the doll. It looks really time consuming. Well done she looks great.
Hi Barbara, she’s definitely been more work than I was expecting but really worth it and I’m enjoying the overall advent this year!
Hello Martyn! I really enjoy this crochet vlogmas. I would like to wish you, Mark and your families a Merry Christmas 🎄.
Hi Shelly, thank you for your lovely message, Merry Christmas to you and your family too! :)
I'm loving watching the progress on your doll. At one point with the jacket, the cape & the "blue suede shoes" I was thinking the ice queen was looking a bit Elvis Presley :)
A festive Elvis creation would be a big surprise wouldn’t it haha!
Thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it. :)
She is looking lovely!
Thanks Beate, not long to go till the big reveal!
Merry Christmas from Canada! I enjoy seeing your progress week-by-week. I can't wait to see what she'll look like in your next vlogmas post. I love the sequined jumper! Super fun and super festive!!!
Hi Mary, thanks for watching and commenting! Not long to go until the big reveal... hope you’re all ready for the festive season in Canada? Merry Christmas to you and yours :)
Hi Martin, glad you weren’t hurt and the cars ok, but, as you had told everybody you were stuck for 3 hrs I would have stolen some “me time” after AA had fixed the tyre and found somewhere to hide for an hour and enjoy peace and quiet and crochet, lol! despite the fiddly bits I think she’s looking really good. Love your jumper btw.
Hope to hear from you Christmas Eve but in case we don’t, I’d like to wish you both a happy Christmas that although will be different you thoroughly enjoy. Stay safe and well. Thanks from Australia 🐨🐨🦘🦘😷🎄🎅🏼🤶🏻
Haha I wonder if could have asked the AA man to come back at the promised time!?
Thank you for your Christmas wishes, Merry Christmas to you and your family too, thanks for your support here commenting and watching I means a lot to me! :)
Merry Christmas Martin and Mark from Virginia U.S.A.! So sorry to hear about the lock down! At least your government is attempting to slow this virus down. I wish I could say the same for us as we're topping the infection scale rate at almost 250,000 daily cases.😬 Enough said about that🙄 More importantly, you at least managed to buy that extra ball of yarn in the nick of time! Priorities!😁😉 I'm generally not a commenter on vlogs (except for my sister's), but I did want to let you know that I really enjoy your vlogs and your presentation style! Keep up the great work!🎅
Hey, wow I’m honoured you took the time to comment, thank you I really appreciate it!
Yes lucky I got the wool and so glad I did as I ran out with two rows to go - very frustrating but hey ho, one of those things!
Yes our lockdown here is frustrating but bigger picture it’s the right thing to do and hope the vaccine rollout helps us all in 2021 - plenty of time for crafting while stuck at home!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Merry Christmas to you and your family :)
Merry Christmas Martin...thank you for a fun vlog....love the weekly version and I have diarized to join the Toft CAL for next year... loving the doll thus far. You are a great crocheter(?) in my view👍👏👏🎄
Awww thanks for saying that, I appreciate it! The Toft advent is a great one so I can definitely recommend it. Thanks for your vlogmas editions too, I’ve been checking them out but am behind with commenting!
Merry Christmas to you and your family :)
Defo a frozen doll then , pull some stuffing out she looks like an oldwoman with a tummy problem , like me lol!! But it’s good of you to share stay safe x x x
Haha she’s modelled on me :)
Congratulations on your beautiful crafting! Thank you for your vlogs...really enjoy them! Your crochet is beautiful. Good luck completing the rest of your Christmas crafting!
Thank you so much Debbie, I’m really pleased you’re enjoying them! Christmas crochet blanket was finished last night so apart from this advent I’m all finished! :)
Oh I want that jumper ha ha. Your lady is looking good....have you felt the bag up to guess what’s inside? Maybe it’s a crown 😀
Hey Anne, no not yet I’m very compliant and will wait till I’m told to haha
That Madame would have been on a time out from me with all that fiddling
I won’t lie Judith it’s come close to that a few times but you’ve all kept me committed to make sure I stay on track to share my progress!
:D expected her to wave at the end, you forgot!
oh deer (pun again cause of your jumper - great!), fate's been hearing your little raging about boring videos and puff the tyre was gone. What a ride. Yeah I also wonder why running of of yarn is an issue with kits sometimes? Hopefully not a financial strategy.
time is passing quickly, less than a week now and I've been sad thinking that vlogmas will be over then. But thers hope - how about joining Stephen's HAKL? Theres a wonderful hat pattern too I just started.
any plans in this direction? (raises eyebrows)
if you wait any longer you will end up with that paper bag when you're 80 trying to open this with clumsy fingers xD
Hey Georgina, no plans to do another MKAL at the moment, it’s been a few full on months for crafting so I’m looking forward to some simple children’s jumpers over Christmas for some slow knitting.
Who knows what the New Year will bring though haha
@@knit365blog It's not M, it's an H. Hiberknitalong, you get the whole patterns (3) at the first day. If that can change your mind ;) 2 shawl variations and a hat. The hat is already released I should add.
