I wonder if that new carafe works on the older Exprellia. I love my Exprellia, but the autofroth is not as hot as I'd like so if I have time I manually do it. Do you guys know? And if so can you buy it as a spare part?
Hi Guys, We are a household using two types of milk - regular and soy. I am concerned at how difficult this will be with the milk container. Any suggestions of a suitable model we should look at?
Not sure what you consider as hot but in my experience with this machine, and the internet is rife with the same problem, this machine fails to produce hot milk!!! After only 8 months of light use, we now have to send our machine to an independent repairer to fix the issue of 'empty drip tray' which even though everything is meticulously clean and dry, is still displayed on screen stopping our machine from being used!!
Donna Hartland Hi Donna, Sorry to hear you're having problems with your machine. Hopefully you can get the empty drip tray issue resolved. As for what we consider hot... for best flavor we shoot for 140 - 155F for milk and prefer the lower end of that range. Heating and frothing milk increases it's apparent sweetness. But go to hot and sweetness quickly fades. We think some people are expecting a latte to be as hot as a straight cup of coffee and that should never be the case. Milk at that temperature would be at or near scalding.
I have this machine and I love it!
