- Part of the curriculum of the Nevada DPS Police Academy is the TASER Training Course. Cadets are taught how to use the TASER. Included in the training is exposure to the device or getting tased. The exposure training highlights its capabilities and limitations. Scenario based training is also done to show where TASER use is in the Use of Force Continuum. Students are required to set up their Taser in a cross draw or off hand draw to avoid officers mistake / mistaking the gun for their Taser (taser gun mistake).

I took a 5sec one to gain a civilian permit to own a taser as a business owner in a rough community. I agree with the reason that whoever carries a taser should know what it feels like in order to not use it without knowing the true effects. It helps in deescalization before just pulling it out and letting it rip on a tiny provocation.

Even though I identify as a vampire, I would still never want to sign up for that.
???
"Identify as vampire" 🤡💀
@@ddr8570I never knew we could identify as a “taser”.
That second guy nearly ran away!
Ride the Lighting, enjoy the ride...................BOOM!
I SHOCKED OF MY TASER VERY PAINFULL
I know first hand how much that hurts, never want to do this again
I’ll take this 10 times in a row over OC spray any day of the week.
I got hit by the taser 7 today. As i was going down my sergeant drive stunned my leg.
So sorry!

Why is necessary this exam ??
It is to give the cadets first hand experience on the effects of the taser.
1. To testify in court that they have been exposed to its effects
2. To know how they will react should one be used on them
3. To know the limitations of the device enough to recognize that the effects can be fought off
4. To know the effects of the device to know when not to use it.
@Mike La Putt And they will still taze someone for nothing and just get a slap on the hand. This "training" is useless, much like coward tyrant cops.
Why aim for the but hole and the back? Why not just the back?
The back is what they are aiming for.
I was tasered in the police academy. Its so invasive the feeling lol. This was funny. Most my academy was the dude at 230. Few of us took it like champs. I started getting up arpund 4 seconds of it. Pepper spray is more painful especially the high end stuff they used. Like 20 million skoval
would you die if it was in the chest area?
Unlikely, but, there is a possibility.
@@mikelaputt thx
50,000 volts going through your body that is not a good feeling
Only 12,000 50,000 when shot out initially but when it makes impact it lowers to 12,000
These people are nuts !
The victims don't have the luxury of having people holding them so they don't hit the floor .
That is one of the considerations taught. The floor does not miss in a fall.
How come there not handcuffed and allowed to face plant like they do with the public that they(protect and serve!)
This abuse of the tool is something cadets are warned about and told not to do.
Victims????
@@lenleathers5482they do protect people. Stop watching CNN.
The taser hurts 50.000volts
heard OC much worse... I'm not interested in either experience... TH-cam suffices in this regard....
For me, OC is worse than Taser. If I had to choose, I prefer to be Tased versus being OC’d.
30 weeks…what overkill
No,
Taser gun flare
Taser gun
Why all the yelling and complaining?
Because it's a fking tazer!?
