This dude is a freaking monster guitar player. No recent videos? I'm hoping he's doing session work. Every video of his; complete attention to detail and phrasing. Incredible.
You might be the most intricate and musical guitar teacher on TH-cam. There's so much misinformation about Nuno's techniques and picking patterns, glad you took the time to show it the right way.
Easily the best guitar lessons on TH-cam. Hands down the best at playing and also the best at explaining how it all goes together. The fact that you even go so far as to explain the differences in timing like the sixteenths and the triplets etc. makes you the best by far. I don't know what's happened to you, but I hope everything's OK and that you do more of these online lessons. Peace.
Incredible playing and most clear and concise tutorial out there. Almost every other one is just tremolo picking each note which sounds wrong and is more difficult. Can you please make a video with the rest of this solo. I would like to see how you break down the last part. Thank you for this tutorial. I really like this song and this solo is really tough to figure out. Cheers from Canada :)
This solo is really hard but this tutorial is very useful and provides an insight into the trick of this solo, which is that up, down up, down picking pattern in the arpeggios. I find that once I lock that in I can ricochet off the other notes and play it faster. Still ridiculously tough.
Excellent lesson, clear dexterity shown of the finger movements. Many Thanks for the lesson and your time to show the rest of the world how its done :-)
This is brilliant! I learnt this from another video but always struggled getting it up to speed with the way it was picked, it always sounded wrong rhythmically. Your method of playing it has got me almost up to speed in minutes, thank you!
I am by no means a seasoned guitar player, let alone a lead guitar player. I just want to commend you on how well is video tutorial for this Extreme piece. I will learn this eventually, it may take me a while, but eventually I will. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise.
The last video he uploaded was 6 years ago (now 2020). This makes me wonder what has happened to him & if he does something else. Would like to know too.
Great stuff Ethan like always! You are a great player and teacher. Any chance you could teach us the guitar solo of the song Turn Up The Radio by Autograph. The solo by Steve Lynch is just too good!
Which part of Four Seasons is the solo built on? Actually I can play the arpeggios section all staccato with economy picking but it's too much effort. Playing legatto is smoother and easier to get a clean sound. Good tips
Hey Ethan, I find your guitar lessons great, would you be able to do a guitar lesson for Bon jovi Dry county solos? Can't find them anywhere and would love to play it, thanks buddy
Its an artificial harmonic, or aka a pick squeal..As you pick the note down, you have to dig in a little bit, and immediately following the down stroke, your thumb needs to hit the string, kind of at the same time...If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm sure there are lessons on here for that. Just look up how to do an artificial harmonic. They take a little practice, but once you get it down, they're not hard at all...
DAJ RePeaT Well, I suppose. You just won't be able to really hear them very well, but yeah, you could practice them with an acoustic, even though they're an electric trick...Just remember to put a nice slow vibrato after you get one to ring off, as it will help sustain them a bit...Just did one on my electric, unplugged, and I can hear them, but nothing like if it was hooked up...Once you get them down, on any string and any fret, they are fun as hell to play around with...For you, just start on say maybe, the G string, forth or fifth fret, as they are real easy to ring off in that area....Good luck.
VeanZann I made a video out of the material I have. Go to my channel (it's the only video I have uploaded so you won't miss it 😂) and watch it. Don't forget to change the settings to HQ because otherwise you can't read the tabs.
Totally agree about the beginning section not using alternate picking. One can clearly see from 3:06 in this video that Nuno is not using alt picking th-cam.com/video/NL7-Jxpz6TI/w-d-xo.html

He's a good guitar player but those single coil pickups piss me off.

Probably the most helpful guitar lesson video I've ever seen, nicely done.. I envy your shredding too!
Muitíssimo obrigado por compartilhar um solo desses! Valeu demais 😎🎸
That intro was awesome, not just your usual fast alternate picking thing. Classy.
Thee best version of this solo ever 👊🏼
Finally, someone who plays the opposing to the solo correctly instead of just doing the rapid fire picking. It's such a cool technique!
Yea.. we can produce a month of electricity with these thousands of hands moving so fast. we have to save energy guys. the world needs us.

How do you get the string skipping notes to not bleed through?
Tanx for this dude, great job! But to be honest I only saw the video for the last part that you didn't show. #Sad. but still great work.

nice lesson. If I could wish for anything else; I'd have preferred the lesson in standard tuning :)
second part ?
Can you do child in time solo by deep purple? I'd love to play it but I have some problem with some parts
How do you do that harmonic at 5:48? I can't figure out how to do it
