I really enjoyed your update on the polytunnel! We're hoping to create our own greenhouse here soon, so it's inspiring to see your progress. The cucumbers, chilli's and cherry tomatoes look fantastic-We call chard Silverbeet here. There's nothing more satisfying than growing, picking, and eating your own home-grown food. Well done! 🌿🥒🌱

      Thank you 😊
Never heard silverbeet before - learn something new every day! Feeling very fortunate to have the tunnel this year. Its been so soggy this summer, could have been a disaster without it.

I really can't fault First Tunnels service. Although, its a bit of a feat putting it up yourself 😂 but I'm sure it'll last well enough for the memories to fade...

Wow the poly is so full and productive Sam. If it got too hot in the poly you may have lost a lot of the flower to drop, it happens on my tomatoes too. The crystal lemon looks fantastic one of my husbands favourite right off the vine to munch. The tomato plants will benefit if you take off some of the lower branches to allow better air flow. Tiny holes in the chillies could be earwig 😢. Hmm looks like chard and they are really good. Great tour Sam have a fab day, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

      Chard! Good to know.
Earwigs are a bloody pain - they get in everything! We have a few hole-less peppers getting to a reasonable size now so fingers crossed for those. Only a relatively small number of tomato flowers dropping - really haven't had enough sun to worry too much. If we get a scorcher one year, I'll have to come up with a plan to keep it a bit cooler in there...
Thanks for the tips, as always 😊

Looking fabulous, Sam! Team Polytunnel for the win 💪… We should be moving to our new bit of land in Lincolnshire in the next couple of months - indoor growing space is high on the list of first projects 😊😊
