Excellent, thank you. I have just purchased a 2nd hand PA17T, which was originally sold by you. I'm picking it up this week. There will be 5 fewer reasons for any cognitive dissonance! She'll be visiting you shortly, to have a fish finder installed.
The most effective test for receiving a rotational molded Hobie is to expose it to strong light externally and check for luminance differences internally. Light stains seen intensely on the hull mean under-thickness of the plastic, which if located in places of great effort, the hull must be replaced. That's what Hobie has done in these cases. Don't be shy about asking Hobie directly any questions about his kayak. Unlike some dealers, you won't be ridiculed for being worried about your kayak being an item you don't know about, and the Hobie warranty is very effective and comprehensive.
Love the work boys keep it up.🤣 Beside myself with laughter that's you actually had to make a video explaining what I thought was the complete obvious, You strengthen my belief we should remove all warning signs and labels and let nature run it's course common sense May came back.
Good to know info, I was wondering about the two holes on the bottom that you explained were just brass bushing covers, I thought they could be a hole repair good to know this is normal, cause I just paid 3k for it, Thanks.
got myself a pa14 and shes a bit rough on the bottom after 3 summers of river rocks, logs, sand and dirt... nothing some sanding and plastic wielding wont fix- maybe get a underside protection eventually. the right peddle on the mirage drive where your foot makes contact slides a bit from being loose but again nothing a quick adjustment to the cord wont fix. id abuse the revolution 13 as much as my pa14 they are worth the money
I bought a used 2010 hobie revo 13 and someone mounted a transducer inside the hull directly over those two white dots, I thought they were part of the transducer. LOL, I don’t use it , I cut the cables a foot away but my Garmin goes over the side on an arm.

Puts down beer... the best start of a kayaking video yet.
Don't worry. Be happy. Thanks for the laugh Scott. And the clarification before I started to panic.
Great info and fun presentation! Now I can stop worrying about those exploding flames!
Love your work, best Kayaks and worth every cent.
excellent video, thanks guys!

Very Good Scott. Lol. Loved it. Taught me lots. You had a free hand to hold another beer though, or a four n twenty. Hobie legend 👍
😂
Great video. My brother and I had some of these concerns after dropping all that money on brand new hobies.

Good stuff.
@0:55 "Every single hobbie hull" Not entirely true. The Passports for example are two piece thermoformed, not rotomolded.
Not anymore...
That belly button one ease my mind about my Outback!
