Another good review Gary. I had a quick look on line and the actual aircraft seems really clean of rivets. I guess they must have been countersunk and maybe filled over a bit. for painting.
Would love to see this kit being built while I wait for ICM to release its announced Flak Bait version. And not to mention, that 1/48 Hampden next year. ❤😊
The Martin 250 CE turret was also used on the Lockheed PV-1/2 Ventura/Harpoon and later variants of the Douglas A-20 Havoc. Interestingly, the tail gun position seen on this variant of the Marauder was designed in conjunction with Bell. Yeah, the guys and gals who gave us the P-39 Airacobra. (Another useless bit of info you can use at your next club meet Christmas quiz). 😉
Always laugh when I see ages 14+ on the kits It reminds me of the secret diaries of Adrian mole when he got a Spitfire glued to his nose And got reported to police as a Glue sniffer lol 😂😂😂
Hi Gary - maybe you can answer or possibly something to ask Valeriya from ICM. Would it be possible to only put ejectors (injectors?) for moulds where they won't be seen anyway? Could they only be ejected on the sprues not the parts? In either case neither the manufacturer nor the modeller would have to worry about them ever again! Win for both sides :) WRT decals IMHO ICM give Cartograf a run for their money :) I could read all the tiny print about the fuel octane level. The only point I would make about the masks is that they're not adhesive, so even if you could cut them out how would you get them to stick? All I can think of is to lay down a strip of masking tape, put each mask on top of it and cut through both. Bit of a trial if the mask is bigger than the masking tape width, but achievable I think. Once they're all cut out peel the tape off whatever they're laid on and apply them. BTW I think Alex Mann mentioned the animated videos to Valeriya and she replied that they were the result of one of her brothers - who does all their CAD work - listing it among a few things he could do :)
Many of the Marauders used for D Day flew out of New Forest airfields in England. The Olive drab scheme and late model suggests this kit is based on these particular aircraft. Please note, several were lent to the RAF but I see the RAF schemes are not included with this model. 🤔🇬🇧♥️
Just ordered a Marauder (I wants the 2024 calendar , precioussss )and the Airfix Hampden -autumn vintage classic . To the chap who enquired on quarter -scale jet provost , Fly model czech republic has several versions in 1/48 including the Strikemaster . Please for ICM PLEASE PLEASE suggest a 1/32 Lavochkin LA 5FN of LA-7 early version PLEASE , something to go with the Yaks . Thank you BTW where do I send donation kits to? OldBob
Very nice this will build well but for ICM that's not unusual (not a fanboy 😄) especially as it's new tooling l'll watch your build before l build mine 🤔 same as the B24, great review Gary it was worth the wait and when they do the 1/48 Hampden at standard that's going to be a winner too 👍
I am surprised that they chose that Coral Princess III as one option. The photo that I found online is not sharp, so it's not easy to see how well painted the nose art was, but you are right, quite often they looked awful. In any case, that decal looks hideous, especially in bigger 1/48 scale, why didn't they choose a scheme that has nose art done by a talented artist, like Eduard and Hobby 2000 in their Hasegawa re-boxes, Valkyrie, Wine, Women, Song, or similar.
The Marauder is probably my favorite WW2 bomber. A very good looking kit!
Very comprehensive box opening and review - thank you Gary.
Looks like a great kit and will be a fun build I am sure. Looking forward to seeing your build.

I have ordered 3 kits so I can build all 3 schemes and also the paint set aswel.
Gary, I just went on the ICM site and watched a video of the JU-88. Wow, that is a fantastic service.

Looks a lovely kit, looking forward to seeing this built.
Spectacular! It's about time!
I'm very tempted.
Thanks for the unboxing marra . Regards Gav.
The top lid is tight. The trick is to make a little hole in it first, before opening :-) Beautifully packaged and produced kit!
Cool model 🛩

Hahahahaha! I remember that now😂
It looks very nice. One question: do the instructions say how much weight to put in the nose?
It says to add 50g of weight between the cockpit and the bomb bay.

Another great review.
I wonder if they'll an RAF or late versions

Yes but a shame no decals are available for Tiger Tails based at Stoney Cross
Another good & thorough review Gary - i'm oh so tempted! 😁
Nice review Gary. That looks great. Did I miss it or is there no neutral grey in the paint set?
You are right - no neutral grey (and it is in their range....)
Thanks
Thanks Christopher!

Looks good, but i wish all companys would include a mask set in this scale.

Those thin bits sticking out of the wings look very easily broken off
Cut the masks out, put Tamiya tape on plastic, outline the mask with the mask pattern, use a scalpel to cut the tape.
Cost here in US is over $100. Ouch!
Ahhh...I can order from Ukraine for 92 with free shipping. Dang it...I...must...order...ahhhhhhhh
Typo in title. B-26
Not any more.. thanks!
Always makes me laugh its a medium level bomber, yet they put 4 ×.50 machine guns on the fuselage
Can't guarantee it from Hannants as DPD refused to handle products from Ukraine
Hannants at Hendon had four or five of them in the shop weekend before last.
