There has to be a way to import newer vehicles, but they won't tell us. I know several people including me that own a 2013 and up vehicle that was imported from Canada. I want a new Focus ST!
The Track Pack is really good value when you think about it. 3700 € for the pack, while an aftermarket KW V3 is already 2260 €. That means you basically get the Brembos, a set of flow-formed wheels and bespoke sports tires for 1440 €.
Finally a brake setup that can withstand more than just a single fast lap on the Nordschleife… the Fiesta ST however still has the teeny tiny 278mm front brakes that have been a disappointment since the 2005 Fiesta ST150

it has the same engine. just slightly revised over the years... the 2.0ecoboost and the 2.3ecoboost are different,m but surprisingly similar. TBH it just needs a bit of a tune to beat the rs
Everyone "complaining" about the unavailability anymore of the ST in the US market, please consider that we do not get one in EU either. And to be "technically correct", most countries have stopped taking orders for the MK4 facelift (even "simple" versions) almost the time they announced the 2022 model. Those who were quick and placed an order will have to wait for almost a year, even more. Sadly, Ford will stop producing the Focus in a couple of years.
I am driving company cars. I ordered a diesel-engined 6 speed manual Titanium (there is only the 1.6 l left) in October 2021. Nothing special, but a lot of chips in it due to the additional extras. I still got no information regarding the delivery time. A colleague of mine ordered at the same time, he got his car (Cool & Connect) 2 weeks ago.
And everyone who bought the ST Edition pretty much got scammed. Went from expensive, exclusive and limited model to basically just being a pre Facelift track pack minus the brake upgrade. 👎

@@focustsport Den Plan habe ich bereits, selbiges mit den Facelift Rückleuchten. 😂Muss nur mal schauen wie es dann mit eintragen aussieht, weil die Bremse wahrscheinlich nicht für das Vorfacelift zugelassen ist.
@@cy9nvs Wenn man es genau nimmt haben die Rückleuchten und Bremsen keine Homologation auf das vFL. Die Bremsen durch den TÜV zu bringen dürfte nicht schwer sein wenn der Prüfer etwas willig ist zu helfen und die Fahrzeuge miteinander vergleich.
I agree, my 2016 Focus ST cost £25k, my 2017 RS cost me £33k fully loaded, my 2022 ST (due to arrive in 3 weeks) has cost me £35k. I'm pissed off that this track pack wasnt available to order when I did mine in January but the car is now £4500 more expensive than when I ordered. Wish they would have made one last RS but I guess I'll have to make do with the ST...
Shame you cant buy replacement tyres and you have to downgrade the tyre if you ruin one of them. I cant imagine a lot of people will be willing to run different tread patterns on a high performance car. Really not good enough Fords!
@@Schrumbl I do, and I deactivated the sound symposer using an obd2 Adapter and the forscan software. Sounds much better that way, and you can actually hear the exhaust. On my previous MK3 there was literally 0 sound, the MK4 sounds pretty good on the outside.
Even as a non-Ford owner, it makes me sad to know this generation Focus won't be on our roads. We miss out on so many great enthusiast models like this. What Americans demand from the car market is just dumb.

That’s a £40k FWD Focus! 🤦🏻♂️😂 I bought my MK3 RS for £30k less than 5 years ago. You’d have to really like Fords to pay that much considering the alternative choices.
The biggest weakling in Focus ST is its engine. the 2.3l i4 has NO TOP END, I was so disappointed with it. Post 5500 rpm it was DEAD. It was a total disaster compared with Hyundai 2.0L and VWs 2.0L and Hondas 2.0L engines. These suspension upgrades are nice, but I seriously wish Ford work on the top end of this engine, its easily one of worst in its class.

Das was ihr hier als Neu vorstellt, hab ich bereits seit geraumer Zeit bei meinem Focus RS Mk2 längst und noch viel besser umgesetzt: Beispiele gefällig : Original RS Mk2 Ronal 15-speichige Felge wiegt 12,3kg/ Stk. - ich fahre eine mb MF1 Felge in der komplett gleichen Dimension und ET mit 7,88kg/Stk. - also 4,5kg leichter pro Stück, meine Herren. Oder Original Bremse vorne 336/30 - ich fahre eine Carbon/ Keramik Bremse vorne 370/35 mit 6-Kolben Sattel von Mov'It. Gesamt 15,5kg leichter als Serie. Das Clubsport Gewindefahrwerk von KW brauch ich hier bald gar nicht mehr erwähnen - weil's sowieso seit Jahren das Beste ist. Zudem noch stärkere Stabis vorne und hinten. Als I-Tüpfelchen eine Liteblox Batterie LB28XX die um 15kg leichter ist als die Serien Bleibatterie - das nenn ICH mal Performance. Also irgendwie seit ihr alle Lichtjahre zurück bei Ford Europe.
Es geht um NEU für die MK4 ST Baureihe... Es geht auch nicht drum, was man aus seinem Auto machen kann sondern wie es in der Serie angeboten wird. Komplett am Thema vorbei

Mal davon abgesehen, dass du als Privatperson keine Sportreifen entwickeln kannst, wirst du gleichwertige Upgrades über Tuning nicht ansatzweise zu dem Preis bekommen. Und auch mit dem vergleichsweise günstigen Track Pack kostet das Auto schon 46.400 €, da lohnt es ja wohl kaum einen 70.000 € Focus mit Keramikbremse, Inconelauspuff und Carbonfelgen für 10 Käufer anzubieten.
